Comment:

Mrs. Hall is genuinely invested in teaching. Applications of Math was an alright class. (Bill Sacco and "Chappy" Grice got old) I would recommend for filling the Math or Critical Thinking GenEd. ThinkSharp is NOT worth the $$ you pay for it, but tests are conducted on there, so it's kind of unavoidable. LOTS of busy work, but if you DO it- easy A.

The class was very time comsuming, so if take it, I suggest taking it over the summer like I did. It was easy and I went in knowing nothing about building a web page. Any time something messed up for me, she e-mailed me back with a solution, or telling me she was working on a solution. The class was interesting. I learned so much.

Mrs Hall is very organized and it helps you tremendously. It may seem like alot, but it all comes together. She is always online and responds quickly, plus she is freindly and sweet. If you dont like her, there is something wrong with you!

Class has a lot of busy work. I mean lots!! Most times 4 quizzes due each week. Discussion boards usually are for each unit (about 2 weeks) require 10 posts and 15 replies. Biggest challenge is learning html. If you have no prior experience i would recommend not taking this class. She does offer a ton of extra credit.

She is the queen of busy work...I took her as a senior for a gen ed 200 level class and it was the most time consuming class Ive ever had. I def do not advise to take her unless your a kiss a** if not be prepared to work hard for a little!!!!!!

Her applications to math class is extremly time consuming. PER CHAPTER you have 2 quizes, indiviual paper, group paper, blackboard viewings, seperat teaching site veiwings, individual and group discusion board postings, and group inclass asignmens. No instruction, and is basically 2 classes rolled into one.

I took Mrs. Hall for her online math course. I have NO interest or ability in math and was still able to get an A. The material itself can be challenging, but she is more than willing to help you out if you're a conscientious student. She even lets little work slide (like making graphs)if you ask her nicely enough. I'd definitely take her again.

She did not like me because I was always late. She still graded me fairly though. She is a little goofy and like older students. (LIKE 50 YEAR OLDS) I recomend taking her regardless.

I had "Mrs. Hall" for an online class. Her quizes and tests were easy because you can take them multiple times. You have to watch videos that teach you how to complete challenges. Some of them are hard. They all deal with using math in real life situations. She is pretty nice. I'd probablly take her class again if I had to.

Little to no knowledge of operating systems other than Windows. (You lose credit for using them to save her the effort of learning them). No explanation of the scores you earn (ex, turn in a fully completed assignment on time and receive a "0"). Tells you how to setup your own computer (ex, MUST have desktop shortcuts to applications - why?)

Lots of homework. The online tests she gives are extremely difficult. She's an okay teacher, the problem is she crams so much information into the semester. The tests are made up of tons of chapters each. Gives lots of xtra credit, but thats only so the class average isn't an F. Take the practice quiz's cause they are the same that she gives.

I dont see why the ratings are so bad. Windows & the Internet is easy. So what if u have to do some work? it's college! Cant expect to miss every other class and get an A. Keep up on the assignments n you'll learn alot & earn a good grade. She gives PLENTY of extra credit chances so if u slacked and didnt do anything all semester its ur own fault!
