The course is so poorly organized. Exam every 2 weeks. All multiple choice, but each question is worth around 5 points each, and they'll always throw 3-4 curveballs to keep the average right in the mid 80s. Profs are bad too-- flighty, fast talking, and useless in review sessions. Throws a lot of info at you that you don't need. Easy B, not A.

Comment:

Julia is a really sweet lady. On a personal level, she's great. And seems to be respected in her field. As far as the class is concerned, it can be a bit dry, but she tries to keep it interesting. The exams are difficult. More so than I expected. Even with lots of studying, I struggled. So just be careful if you're not good with science classes.

I took this class because I heard it was an easy A... that a mistake. This class required a lot of work and studying and attendance was recommended because there were daily in-class assignments. She's boring and the material is dry, and the exams are harder than they should be for a level 100 class. I do NOT recommend this class for slackers.

Comment:

Congratulations, you found the easiest class on campus. Existing should get you an A in this class. Material is simple. Don't buy the big text book, just the work book. Go to class, do the easy work book assignments, do the online quizes which are really easy, and try not to laugh out loud at the test. Easiest Gen-Ed I've taken hands down.

Among the most god awful professors I've ever had. Goes way too fast, never pays attention to people who raise their hands. Basically stands at the front and talks to herself (and laughs at her own dumb comments). Claimed the class was designed for non-majors--that's absolute crap. Worst of all, tests are designed to trick students. She's bad news.

You need to go to class to doo assignments (wirth 25% of grade). With a few hours of good studying the night before tests, I have gotten 2 100s out of the first 3 tests. Some things are interesting and surprising. Julie is really nice, and will give you second chances for HW, etc. Drops lowest test grade.
