Prof. McCue reads verbatim from the textbook (prop law) and regularly confuses extremely basic concepts, asking questions is almost always discouraged and if you try to correct her she will refuse to acknowledge you for weeks. Thankfully UBC is generally a great place to learn and this professor is just the exception.

She lectures at a whisper and doesn't know her own material. Mispronounces words every few minutes and contradicts herself. The WORST prof I've ever had, and that's coming from 8 years of post-secondary science background. Her classes progress mind-bendingly slow, I'm sitting in one right now. Heed other reviewers and AVOID. She's. The. WORST.

Prof McCue has little, if any, knowledge of property law. She reads verbatim from the text and is unable to answer any substantive questions. She evades questions with the skill of a politician. She is so quiet that one must sit in the first row in order to hear her. She frequently mispronounces words. The textbook is the only real teacher we have.

A nice person outside class but nearly completely negligent in the classroom. She often mixes up names of statutes and contradicts herself, yet refuses to correct her mistakes or work on improving. Very difficult class as you basically have to teach yourself--and add page numbers from the text, word for word ratios, word for word statutes, etc!

Prof. McCue has little mastery of property law. The only topic she taught well was Aboriginal Law. She provided her class with incorrect information, avoided answering questions and seemed to hate teaching. Ask to switch small groups if you're in the "McCue" group as a first year, but take AB Law with her later on.

Good survey course but kind of boring if you have any sort of background in the field. Also be prepared for attendance taking, in-class and out of class group work, a presentation AND a final paper. A bit much in that department but good if you don't really know much about First Nations.

Example of a BAD prof a over-priced UBC law for what you pay and what you get.Go to UVic.Should never be allowed to teach this class. Gave notes for exam to make up for her poor teaching.AVOID HER R.P. CLASS.BEG to switch sections OR THREATEN TO DROP OUT!She should apologize to the students!

Really nice lady!!!But she is easily intimidated by the class!She is also very soft spoken so at times it becomes EXTREMELY hard to hear her which is a huge problem when the text is so unclear.Gave great computer notes but was not well versed in the topic

Not good with large classes. Don't question her, she's very defensive. Won't admit when she's wrong - a bad quality in an academic. She was also un-familiar with some of the material. Easy exams and a generous marker.

Yes, she's got her agendas, but my experience was that she was interested in everyone's opinion, whatever it may be. I actually found her friendly, helpful, and the class was interesting. The readings are too much - not that I ever did any of them...

I think she's great. She assigns an absolutely mammoth amount of reading (even compared to some of the hard core black letter courses... our course readings were 900+ pages), but it was interesting/current. Also made us do group work <ugh!>.
