I didn't take her at Loyola but I did take her class many time at NORTHEASTERN. Great. The most honest professor I had that has showed me more than one way of thinking. There is ALWAYS another side.

LOVED HER CLASS! FINALLY, A PROFFESOR THAT PRACTICES WHAT SHE PREACHES. SHE IS ANTI THE INJUSTICES AMERICA HAS AND CONTINUES TO IMPOSE ON PEOPLE. VERY INFORMATIVE AND HONEST. IF YOU HAVE A CONSERVATIVE VIEW YOU MAY NOT ENJOY THIS CLASS, BUT YOU WILL LEARN A THING OR TWO. GREAT CLASS! ONE OF THE MOST HONESET AND REAL PROFFESORS I'VE EVER HAD.

I attended class under Dr. Terpstra, at the University of Phoenix Online. She teaches a very informative class, presenting the information in an efficacious manner. She constantly stayed on top of all the students and assignments always seemed to be graded with candor and development advice. I would recommend her to anyone in the Crim Just field.

Dr. Terpstra by far is the best experience of my college years. She opens your eyes to issues that are hidden and it really affects you. It makes you want to rise up and fight the injustices that people all over the world experience every minute of every day....

i don't really get why everyone is gushing about.. she's a nice lady and everything but she's not THAT great and her classes were pretty much run by the same 3 opinionated liberal students. i wouldn't recommend this class (especially for criminal justice majors!)

Dr. Terpstra is a fascinating person. She is very up front with her opinions and politics; you might find this intimidating at first but if you speak up you will discover that this woman is the opposite of glib, and you will find yourself engaged in major real-world issues which go largely ignored. Try her, don't be afraid!

Great readings and A/V materials. Prof. Terpstra's passion for the topic really made the course come alive. She was well-prepared and answered questions in class very thoroughly and thoughtfully. She did a fantastic job facilitating respectful, inclusive, & enlightening conversation on sensitive topics. I'd love to take a class with her again!

The course is quite easy. Papers and projects are the bulk of the work. Attendance is important. She's a very nice teacher and very flexible. If you don't agree with her view point, it may be the worst class you've ever taken. Extreme Socialist viewpoint
