Very nice and wants to help you. A bit scatter-brain during lectures, and is all over the place. Have to rely on reading the text and tutoring sessions a lot to do well. Big class. Tests and quizzes are what she goes over in class and if you study they're not too bad. Lots of online mastering chemistry homework every week - it helps though.

This is a very difficult class. Striplin is a really sweet lady, and you can tell how smart she is...she's just not great at explaining concepts. I relied heavily on the book and ended up with an A. I would recommend this class only to people who are willing to put in the work (and it is WORK!!).

She is a smart teacher, she doesn't know how to teach. Read your book!!! I would only recommend taking this class if you like to teach yourself. Test are harder than homework. She is funny at times but mostly scatter brained. She is okay if you keep her focused during office hours.

She is nice and funny but that won't help you on her exams. They have nothing to do with material you went over and if they do, they're so much more in depth and complicated. READ THE BOOK BEFORE CLASS, or you will be completely LOST!!!!!

Best advice... Take Jones. She is a nice lady and pretty funny, but she is a terrible teacher. The tests don't correspond to the notes, homework, or notes. Pretty much everyone ended up with a C in the class, maybe 2 or 3 A's or B's.

The way she teaches this particular course is rather perplexing. She seems a bit too inteligent to teach the pre-nursing students in intro chemistry. A lot of confusing material. Yet the best thing about her is that she is lenient in her grading. There was a great curve for the class, also quizzes were used as extra test points. Class was ok..

Shes a Funn Teacher and definatly grabs your attention. But she goes really quikly so if you fall behind yell it out shes happy to answer your questions until you understand. She also holds study sessions GO TO THEM they really help, and hyou get extra credit for doing the quizes in them!

SHE IS HARD!!! the I went over the study guides, supp notes, did all the homework sets like 10 times each and Im only getting a C. I am making A's in everything else. She is a nice lady, and makes you laugh but her tests are ridiculus.

She is very hard. She will help you but on her tests she asks questions in a way you didn't go over in class and it makes it hard to get better than a C. For that amount of study you should get an A but get a C.
