The professor is passionate about the material but that does not translate to the students performance. Her lectures are long, but informative, no powerpoints, so you have to pay attention and take good notes. Test are extremely difficult, the material lectured on in class does not relate to the test questions. no study guides and no help.

She is an awesome professor! Although she is tough and challenging it is possible. Exams are essays, pop quizes, alot of reading be prepared to do a lot of work ! She is hard but she explains concepts so well.

Zentgraf's class is the best and the worst class. You WILL learn and it will be lectures that you will remember but you need to study study study, read read read! Her lectures are clear and I recommend recording it so you can review at home. 3 exams, all essays. Make sure to be very detailed and write many examples and key terms.

The class itself is difficult, but she is passionate, she explains extremely well, is super approachable and goes out of her way to help her students succeed and she is always available. Attendance, good notes are mandatory to pass the class. No papers, 3 exams, surprise quizzes. Love this professor!!

This is a class that will probably take the most work, but truly it is worth it. Zentgraf is great at presenting the material so TAKE GOOD NOTES - it is a good hint to what will be on the exams. Don't miss class and do the readings and you'll be fine.

You have to attend her class in order to understand the material. Never quite really understood what she expected in exams. I did the assigned readings, and felt like I took great notes. I finished every exam expecting an A or B, however, Id still receive C's in her exam. Felt like what I knew did not reflect on the exams. She's tough!

I will admit that at first I thought that she was the most unreasonable and difficult grader I've ever had IN MY LIFE. But the fact is is that all she wants is to make sure you're really listening to lecture. It's not that she's a hard grader it's just that she wants you to use precise buzz words and concepts to answer her questions.

Zentgraf is a great professor. She managed to turn what many would call an abstract classical theory class (Devel. of Sociological Theory)into a subject we can all relate to and apply to what's going on today's world. Take good notes and study for exams. You'll do great. I got an A and didn't kill myself at all...

Made class much harder than it really needed to be. Gets impatient easily, especially if more than one person ask the same question. Exams are hell; no study guides whatsoever. Gives pop quizzes if ppl don't participate. On a power trip. Take this course from another instructor if you can.

She makes this class way harder than it should to be. Always keeps you in the dark in regards to what will be on the exams. Constantly beginning to talk about a topic then stopping and saying "but we will get to that later" Nearly impossible to take useful notes. Her only redeeming quality is her passion for the material.

Great prof., very helpful. Her class is not for the lazy. You will need to WORK for your grade. Hard grader but will curve @ the end if needed. Study and participate. Pop quizzes if participation is low. She treats you like an adult, so avoid if you need your hand held or are lazy. A great prof for those who are willing to work hard and study!

Not sure what all these good comments are about, this class was ridiculous. She ADMITTED every semester she taught this, the CLASS AVERAGE was a D. Not one A. Very bad grader, no study guides, she's clear when she talks but very sloppy notes. TAKE BARNES INSTEAD,honestly felt (others too) no matter what I said or did I was going to get a bad grade.

Great professor!!! She's has a clear outline of what she will talk about before she even does. Just take good notes and pay attention and you will do good. There is a lot of reading. But honestly, read it once and focus mostly on your notes and lecture. This class wasn't easy, but it WASN'T impossible. She is easy to talk to too!

The class might be hard because you have to keep up with the reading, but she is a great classical theory teacher. She goes in-depth into the theory and explains everything extremely well. Probably one of the best professor I've had in my life. Extremely helpful and I strongly recommend you take her. She's also the sociology academic advisor.
