Arya rocks! The man can teach physics and make it interesting. His grading is a bit harsh so you can't bomb any quizzes or exams if you want a good grade. He's always in his office and willing to help

Dr. Arya is a wonderful professor. Really tried to explain the basics of Physics and how it's applied to the real world. Explains stuff from the basics - i learned a lot from his classes. He's very approachable and helps you during the office hrs. The best teacher I ever had!!!!

He is a nice guy but grades really hard. For multiple choice problems, either you get it right or wrong. If you don't know anything about physics don't take him.

Arya is a wonderful instructor. Now that I am in 2B and with Berman, I miss his teaching style more than ever. He gives extra credit and explains a lot of the hmwk problems he assigns. Sit in the front so you can hear and understand him. His lectures are extremely clear and concise! Easily the best instructor I've had in the Math Dept.

He is a nice professor, he'll explain things to you and is very approachable. However, his grading system is kinda harsh -- each pt you lose is 1% of your grade so it's hard to get an A in the class even though it is an "easy" class.

Nice guy. Do the extra credit problems -- they're fun and they always show up on the tests. I bombed the first exam but improved with every test and walked away with an A. Very helpful when I went to office hour.

He is a great professor. He really emphasises on the basics, things which you will need and remember in the future and for work. I highly recommend him for any physics classes. He is fair and as long as you do your hw, attend the lectures..you'll be fine. He is actually the best professor I've ever had.

Not a hard subject, but he tries to trick you on quizzes. Pay attention to the extra credit. If you miss more than 10 points total then it's hard to get an A, but he's nice.

he is a good teacher. His exams and quizzes are a little scary because there are only a few questions and each question is worth 1-4% of yr grade, no partial credit, missing one question, then you can kiss a letter grade goodbye. His lectures are important, if you go you don't need to read.

This guy is painful. Very confusing, however, if you've gone through physics before, you should be able to teach yourself. Forget partial credit on the written parts of his test.

He's the best professor I've ever had. He's very enthusiastic and really tries to get the students involved. He's very fair in hws, exams, and quizses. They are straightforward. He tries hard to make sure that you understand the fundamentals, rather than giving you convoluting problems....which in the long term is better.

Used great examples to explain the subject. Offers fun extra credit. Homeworks are not too difficult. Many exam questions are straight from homework. Plus, he lets to use little note cards on tests. Very helpful with questions students had. "Geer-o" guy.

Thick accent, hard to understand sometimes and he talks very loud, don't know if it's a good combination. Tests are hard and homeworks are long. If you've taken Physics elsewhere before then homework should be easy. Tests could be unexpectedly hard tho. Don't take him if you can't stand accents.

This professor has a strong Indian accent, but he speaks loudly and clearly. He takes time before you start the lab to explain it; but most of the time it seems like he takes too much time. A couple of times his information seemed to contradict the lecture professor's. Overall he's pretty good.

Homework is assigned for each chapter and worksheets are given out. Quizzes, midterms, and final are very similiar to the worksheets and homework. Understanding how to use and manipulate the formulas will enable you to easily get an A in the class.
