Comment:

Karen is by far my favorite professor so far at John Carroll. She makes class interesting and keeps things fresh. I never felt the urge to skip class because she made it enjoyable. There were four papers but they were only 3-4 pages and she gave you plenty of time to do it. She usually let us out of class early. Highly recommend Karen!!

very nice teacher and down to earth. she gets that we are college students. tougher in en 112 compared to 111. 10-12 page research paper and some presentations but she doesnt grade too hard. love her and would recommend taking her! (definitely take her for EN 111, easiest class)

Best English teacher you could get at JCU. Karen is fantastic, especially if you enjoy discussion based classes. She gives a lot of time to work on assignments and uses in class discussion to give you essay ideas and guidance. One of the best English professors I've ever had.

Alright teacher, almost daily in-class discussions, 4 essays overall i think she grades pretty fair and gives good feedback on your essays. I'm was a bad writer but I felt like the class pushed me to become better and i got a B in the class. I would recommend taking her. Little fun fact: on days essays are due she'll let you out early :)

Karen is soo awesome!! She is the coolest teacher on campus, she gives you the assignment for the papers at least 2 weeks in advance, and in between that time if you show up to class she just has class discussions about whatever. She is so cool, and totally understanding about everything. Everyone loved her, and if you can get her definitely do!

So nice. We oftentimes have class discussions that are so barely related to what we're looking at, but it makes for a potentially more interesting class. Only 4 papers in a semester, and she grades fair. Very nice, rare homework, take her class.

If you don't participate, she will make your class a living hell. She grades papers kinda hard and she ALWAYS write and? or why? or more! on your work...she's never satisfied with the answers you give her. She's a nice lady if you go to her personally for help but if you get a lazy class, good luck!

Ms.Wilson is one of the best English professors on campus. She cares about her students, helps out in any way possible, and her lectures are interesting. Her class consists of readings (not hard) and 4 papers. Her papers are not difficult to write. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MS. WILSON! In addition, the last paper you write; you just e-mail it, NO CLASS!

I loved karen so much i had to take her a second semester. she is a great teacher and a great person. has allowed me to make up work that i have missed due to personal reasons on my own time. class discussions are very interesting i loved getting involved, gotta take anything she teaches.
