I cannot say enough good things about prof Couch. She answers emails, but prefers to text her for quicker responses. She is helpful, funny, and knowledgeable about the topic which made me want to learn and earn good grades from her. If I had any questions she would answer them fully. She was also very understanding, which made me more relaxed.

She is one of the coolest professor in Towson, Pretty straight forward course, I enjoyed it a lot even though I took it online. She wants her students to pass with A. Very Accessible and response very quickly. I would take her class with no doubts.

WAY too much writing for 100 level class. No class should have 6 hour long exams, even it it is online. LONG drawn out intricate weekly quizzes. Assignments that are due on Friday night for no reason while all of the other work is due on Sundays. Too much work for 100 level gen ed class. Do not take unless you like writing a lot and love geography

You can tell she really likes geography. Her tests are long and she gives you way more work than I think is needed. Every powerpoint with notes has about 60-80 slides you need to look through. The class isn't super hard but it is time consuming. She does a good job of laying out your schedule and what all is needed throughout the semester

Great online class! Makes you work but you learn a lot! Not the best with emails but she gives you her number to get a hold of her. Very caring and grades everything within a week of it being due. Take her!!

I took this class online and it was truly terrible. It was hard, extremely time consuming, and not at all organized. The assignments were not reflective of the material we were required to teach ourselves and the exams would take me 4-6 hours to complete. I didn't learn anything except how to to frustrate myself and stress myself out.

You'll need a lot of patience for this class. The quizzes are too long, 30 questions, and she makes the power points have too many slides. Tests are also long, but she copies the same questions from the quizzes. Gives these dumb assignments where you have to look up stats for a country. She's a nice person, just gives time consuming amount of work.

I loved this class and I learned a lot. The tests are very long but everything is in the Powerpoints and you have to do outside reading to pass. One blog post per week, four tests, the last one is optional (I didn't take it). She is very, very helpful when you have troubles in the class and she is very friendly, although I didn't have her IRL.

She was awesome! She gave a good amount of extra credit and everything is clearly stated either in the power points, emails, rubrics, or assignments themselves. She is great at responding to emails within 24 hours! A lot of work and time management is key but is easy to do if you read the power points given.

Karna's great and all. Very kind and willing to help, but the material is just TOO much. Powerpoints are way too long and you pretty much have to know everything for the tests. Tests are exhausting and usually take an average of 6 hours to complete. It's pretty much clear cut what you have to do, but it's definitely a lot of work. Good luck.

She's awesome! Took her for Geog102 and got an A. if you do the work you'll be fine in the class. Not many tests, but they can be difficult if you don't study. final was optional. Definitely take her if you need this class or need to fulfill a core.

Extremely frustrating professor. She gives you one assignment per week, but takes literally an entire month to grade one ten point journal assignment. Her tests are extremely unnecessarily long. She tries to cover every single detail from every single powerpoint slide on one test. Class was easy overall, you'll get an A if you do the work.

Karna was my favorite teacher at Towson. I took Severe & Hazardous Weather, Meteorology, and World Regional Geography with her. If you take an in-person class, you don't need to buy a textbook (awesome for broke college students). If you take her online classes, you will need the textbook. Karna is the only reason I stayed at Towson.

I absolutely loved Karna! She is SO SWEET! However, if you are not interested in Geography or learning about locations & civilizations DO NOT take this. Long tests & lectures. Friends in the class who werent interested complained, but if you study & pay attention you will be fine! The final is optional. Never used textbook. Extra credit often.

She's a super nice lady bit her lectures are unnecessarily long. All she does is read off of the slides so you feel like you don't even have to be there. Every 6 classes or so she'll go into detail about something and that's guaranteed to be on the test. Make sure you prepare for quizzes and do journals because that's what your grade depends on.

Professor Couch is awesome. There is quite a bit of work and her tests aren't easy but if you study like you would for a non-online course you will do fine. She is very nice and will help you in any way she can. I work 45-50 hours/week and took 15 credits at the same time and still did well on her tests! I got an A and would take her again!

Do not take with this teacher. She makes the class WAY harder than it needs to be. She assigns more work for a 101 class than I have ever experienced. The questions on the tests and quizzes are hard and not graded fairly. This class was more time consuming than my calc and bio classes combined.

This class is online but it requires A LOT of work! His online tests are very hard and requires a lot of studying to pass. This is not an easy online class I would suggest taking it in person. He is clear with his power points but you need to memorize all of the content. There is also weekly journal entries that take time as well as wikis.
