Awesome professor. Must read the readings for each day and know the gist of the reading for short pop quizzes. Quiz is not hard, just know the gist. Two papers graded and he makes sure you know how two write a good philosophy paper. After each paper he gives option go over the paper and to rewrite it in case you didnt write it well.

Professor Struhl is a very knowledgable person, he clearly knows the subject. His class was very interesting. He is a tough grader and will make you work for your grade. His class is challenging but if you do the work you will be fine.

Professor Struhl is amazing. I don't understand people who rated him poorly. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he is talking about. I found his lectures to be very informative and interesting. In class, we did have pop quizzes but that should not intimidate you. If you do the readings or at least grasp on the main point then you will be fine.

Would not recommend this professor his lectures are super boring and uninteresting. He tends to go over time and requires three different texts for this class. If writing papers is not your strong suit do not take this class. Only two papers but they are like 25% each and he grades tough.

He is horrible. He always runs over time, he's boring (literally puts everybody to sleep), pop quizzes everyday. If your taking 3 to 4 other classes, he would not be the best fit. He expects that people go home everyday to study his material for six hours straight. Just horrible.

Professor Struhl is a good teacher that knows the topics he discusses well. If you ask him for help and show you really do care, he will take the time to help you by proof reading your essays and giving suggestions to what should be changed/fixed/added. We are only assigned 4 essays, so if you are not good at writing college essays then dont take

He is an awesome existential professor. The classes are interesting, engaging and fun. I am a philosophy major and I love interesting courses. If you like religious talks, antireligious talks actually, you will enjoy this class. His work load is easy, usually just reading. He does sometimes give pop quizes but they are graded with check.

Professor Struhl is fantastic! I have taken him for two ISP classes and he always engages with his students. His topics of conversation are current and he encourages students to give their opinion. Articles are lengthly and sometimes difficult to digest but he explains everything in detail and clarity. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM!

he often talks down on Christianity and its views.he comes off rude at times when it comes to Christianity & puts emphasis, while speaking, on things he disagrees with. he's generally a good person, but as a christian i don't like his teaching methods. he picks & chooses what he emphasizes on & that often comes out disrespectful towards your views.

he makes the class interesting and explains all the theories and seems like he does know alot in the subject but is a hard grader with the papers. most people in my class were getting c's on the paper and we copied what he said from class. overall, hes a good professor but not a fair grader.

He teaches well. You will learn something if you listen to him. Take notes to help you on your essays. Read for every class(pop-quizzes). He grades his essay a little hard so it might be difficult for some. Overall, nice teacher.

Very strict grader. He will spend the whole class explaining how and what he wants in your paper. So in the end it isn't your own thoughts or opinion but what he wants to hear and read. Essay questions are extremely specific and he will take points off if it is not what he wants specifically. Doesn't matter if the info is there and you make a poin

Very nice man. Doesn't let the class get into discussion with each other. Uses horrible books that he bases his class off of. Talks way to much about nonsense and doesn't let some students get some input.

Can't really blame the guy for calling on random people. It is philosophy after all. Professor Struhl actually makes the class quite interesting, just make sure you read the material.

I disaprove. He interjects his own opinion into the material too much. Interrupts students while theyre talking. Tries to convince us to beleive philosophical theories are true, rather than presenting the material and allowing us to judge for ourselves. Insists on arguing with students and trying to prove them wrong. I'd give him an F.
