Participate in the lecture!!!! She wants a discussion not everyone sit there in silence. If you don't start a discussion she will give you a pop quiz over what your paper was about. She is a tough grader, but if you do the work and attempt you should be fine. She is a nice lady and the best way to contact her is through canvas!

I took her for myths and legends. There was a lot of reading in a short period of time. She wasn't very nice and treated us like we were 12. She has her favorites especially if you talk a lot and answer all of her questions in class. She forgot to grade my final (which was a group project) and gave me a zero when everyone else in my group got an A

I took her class online . It was myths and legends and i would not take it again. I did get an A in her class, but i really had to work for it. She does not communicate well at all. She never gives a direct answer to a question you have. Best advice is to just call her on the phone and talk that way. Do not e-mail her and don't ask for extensions.

It is a good idea to take time out of your week to read and soak in the materials. It will help so much with the homework. There are some good books and things to read, so be prepared!

Mrs. Ford was really professional and available to contact. Great selection of study materials and activities for the class. Do not miss out on this class if you love to read and like analyzing! Helps to read the materials and keep at a good pace with assignments. I enjoyed to give my own experiences and thoughts into my weekly discussion. FUN!

Took an online Myth's class and was expected to read at least 100 pages a week and write a two page paper over it. Then once a month is a 4 page paper assignment and a test. She is very helpful the class just had way to much homework for me.

If You like to read then this would be the class for you. Weekly assignments include reading 100-150 a week and writing a two page paper. About once a month you will be expected to write a 4-6 that is due Friday and another two page paper due Saturday. The Unit tests are easy but that about it.

I was a bit worried that I would have a difficult time with this course as an online class, but she did a superb job maintaining contact and responded promptly when I messaged her for help. A great instructor. She expects quality work from her students, and gives the appropriate feedback to achieve that quality. Would recommend her to others.

She likes to pick favorites. If you are not one of her favorites she will not remember your name. You can find the answers to her quizzes online. She will never give you a 20/20 she always takes off at least one point. She is very rude and boring. The reading material assigned has nothing to do with the content covered in class.

Name was misleading, should be Western Myths & Legends. We did barely anything pertaining to our giant reading assignments other than weekly 2 page long responses. There were days when I could sleep through class and not miss anything. Would never recommend her to anyone.

Kathy is a wonderful instructor and person. Very helpful and very straight forward with what she is expecting out of you. Lots of work, but this is college! She is a fair grader and will explain anything to you if you have questions. A little slow to get assignments graded, however.

Agree with a lot of the other comments. Grades inconsistently and her "feedback" makes absolutely no sense. Sometimes I feel like rebutting my case on some papers, but I just feel like it's not worth it. The directions for her online class isn't very good either. I have to read and re-read multiple times to get an idea of what exactly she wants.

Make sure you relate the material to modern pop culture, that is what she really wants, but that might not be clear until after a couple of weeks. I loved this class. LOTS of reading and LOTS of writing. Follow MLA on essays and you'll be fine. Follow her reading and study guides for the reading responses. Use Google for the tests, they're tough.
