I love Math. This was the most archaic class I have ever taken at Harper. I cannot believe she is still teaching. She did not use any technology (blackboard, Pearson, or even the projector!). She is still writing on the whiteboard!!! Unapproachable, unclear, unrelated lectures (goes off topic), homework is not graded until after the test! RUN!!!

Try and take a different teacher at all costs. I went to every single class, spent 3 days a week in the tutoring lab and did all the homework and still did not pass the class. Labeau is the strictest grader I have even encountered. My class went from 30 students to 7 by the 3rd test. With half of the remaining kids failing the course. Good luck!

This class is a difficult class already but the long stories that are told in class have no relation to the material that is being learned. The homework is unmanageable at times and tests are nothing like the math departments standards. Would be cautious when taking this professor

She's hard to understand & isn't the easiest person to approach to. You basically have to know the material before you ask for her help. Wish I had known so I could have taken another instructor ?

She is the reason I am terrified of taking statistics, I didn't pass and was forced to drop. Twice. She told me the second time around that I wasn't ready. Thanks for the reinforcement. Long story short, I took another teacher at DePaul and passed. There is a happy ending. Dont give up guys and don't take her

She is a very tough grader, Very, very strict. Worse decision I have ever made. Her homework assignments are insane they are 20-30 pages long of written work. She will only give you extra credit if you have completed the homework to her standards. Don't take her.

I don't know how long she has been teaching statistics, but if it has been long, then she is doing an awful job! she can't clear the doubts! I think she finds the subject confusing too ! Is she tough grader? yes. Is she picky, as in her way or its wrong? yes. But she also offers a bunch of extra credit. But to get the extra credit you have to have completed the homework fully. She is always willing to help, but her methods are confusing. Don't Reccommend! Super sweet lady, but her teachings isn't in favor of my success.

She's definitely an old fashioned teacher which makes it hard for students to learn her style. The amount of homework is insane, I could learn a chapter with half or less of the problems assigned. She demands perfection in tests and the homework. However, she does try her best to explain and encourages students to ask questions.

She is a very tough teacher that never thinks she did something wrong. She makes so many mistakes on the board and makes it really confusing to learn. If you have another method to getting a problem right you will automatically get it wrong because it has to be her way. There is also a lot of homework and she is really critical with grading.

the worst teacher i ever taken at Harper. She is is horrible at explaining anything and just rambles on in class assuming everyone knows what she is talking about. She also makes 500 mistakes each class period on the board which confuses u even more. I am an honor roll student 3.8 GPA and she made my life hell. she doesn't care bout her students.

Labeau is definitely an old school teacher. Students in our generation aren't use to her teaching style, so that's whys it hard for many to students to grasp it. She is really hard, and doesn't explain the material as well as you want her too. She doesn't really care about students grades. Which is a problem if your an A student getting a C.

This instructor is awful, DO NOT TAKE HER. I am a straight A student, and I approach math in my own way, whereas she will deduct points if you do not follow her pattern of solving problems. Also, she has no idea what she's instructing, for example she'd go off on a tangent and then realize five minutes later she was wrong. AWFUL, DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The amount of homework she gave had an ill effect on my health. You need to be doing homework 3+ hours, five to six days a week if you are an average learner or risk falling behind. She will help you if you ask, but be ready to talk about off topic things for 20+ minutes if you want any. Funny sweet old lady, but the worst teacher I've ever had.
