This class is really easy. You need to go to class because she gives classwork, but the classwork is really easy and equals a test so it will really help your grade. She makes the class interesting and really wants you to do good. Not difficult to get an A. Take her.

She is so annoying and does not shut up. During class activities if you are suppose to be working she still doesnt shut her mouth to let you work. Way to much reading. Repeats herself. Relies to much on her husband to figure out the computer. Only good thing is she gives the test questions in advance. Avoid!!

Class requirements were exactly as specified in syllabus. Tests were essay type, with a note card. Sometimes she was a little scattered and confusing, however overall, an excellent class! She has great insight into this topic. She is fair, and tries to make the class fun and interesting with activities etc.

i would not recommend her. i cant pay attention in class, she goes off on stories that make no sense, and the tests are extremely hard. the only good thing about the class was the the novel she picked out wasnt that bad

Dr. Snyder is a very good Prof! You have to attend class because there are class activities everyday which adds up in points. DEFINATELY use the study sessions to your advantage. The exams are not very clearly written so the study sessions help alot. Easy A or B if you do well on the exams, go to class everyday and take notes!!

this class was extremely easy!!! i read my notes the night before the tests and my lowest score was a 95... the tests were very very easy. You do need to come to class because there is classwork everyday and it really adds up

i actually enjoy going to this class she makes it really fun. lots of note taking but its straight from a powerpoint. tests are really hard but you get points almost everyday from class work and that will save your grade if you do bad on tests. i would definitely recommend her

What can I say about Dr. Snyder, except she is everything a professor should be and then some. Her class isn't easy, but it is not difficult either. She does her part in presenting the material, and giving detailed study guides for the exam, and she expects you to do yours by doing the reading and studying. Her tests are hard, but they're doable.

attendance isn't mandatory, but part of your grade. I hated anything SS related, but loved her class. She explains things clearly and gives personal examples to ensure everyone understands. We had study sessions before all the tests. She cares for the students so much. The first test is usually the hardest so if you did bad, she drops the grade!

I didnt enjoy this class at all. I thought it was useless and difficult. Class was mandatory bc you have to do classwork everyday and if you dont it basically screws up your grade. I hated this class and wouldnt take her again.

a little goofy, but very very nice lady. class is relatively easy, and the study groups definitely help. attendance is very important because you get class points everyday. shes upbeat and tries to make everything interesting. we played games, worked in small groups and watched movie clips. I'd recommend this professor!!

Awesome to take for SOC 151...very easy grader...tests can be tricky but DO THE READING and it isnt as hard...offers extra credit. Lots of IN CLASS ACTIVITIES worth lots of points and questions on the tests so class attendance is very important. Also lots of notes and can really drag on...but overall take her!

I loved this class I always found it interesting and fun, Dr Snyder always had an activity to help make the topics make more sense which was very helpful. Requires outside reading and going to class but if you can manage that then you can get an A or B EASILY!

Dr. Snyder is such a nice woman. She uses excellent examples to illustrate what she is teaching, they help a lot. As long as you go to class and read over the chapters you should get a B at least. Her tests are a little hard, but they are fair, if you know your stuff you will do well.

Really cares about her students. Is both inspired and excited about the material and that attitude is picked up by the students. This class has none of the male bashing, feminist propaganda of the psychology department's counterpart (psy 411), and teaches a balanced, non-derogatory perspective.
