The professor is indeed showing some enthusiastic about the subject and tries to encourage students to feel the same as well. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to make it encouraging, the lectures are boring and feels long to the point where students don't come to class often. You are forced to either learn through the book or learn from the internet.

You're required to read ahead before each lecture then endure dry rereads from overheads of the text with his name & copyright added as if he wrote the book, though he has nothing to add. Don't get ahead of him. He'll get upset and you'll lose your grade or grad school.

He speaks with a very thick accent. He never puts down dates on the syllabus. He does not know which scantron to use for quizzes and NEVER goes over homework. Good luck if you are going to take him. You will need it....he is a tenured professor so I think he was teaching us as a commitment to the school. He is a computer science guy,not a math guy.
