4 multpile choice exams make up your grade with no curve all of which include many questions meant to trick you. His lectures are very boring and are useless for the exam; the only way to study is by reading the book which still gets you only so far. Don't take this class thinking its easy, there's a lot of information and exams are tough

He is a terrible professor. The only grades are the 4 exams. All of the questions on the exams are really hard and are not in his lectures. He gives absolutely no help. I was .5 points away from a C and he would not round it up. I emailed him and he blatantly ignored it. I would not suggest taking his class.

The material you are tested on mostly will not be covered in his lectures, which are not very informative and focus on only a few subjects that you are expected to know and none of his slides go in depth, you will have to know every single word of the assigned chapters if you want to pass. I would not recommend taking his classes

If you are looking for natural science class, this is not the one to take. Only take this if you are serious on becoming a meteorology major. He doesn't post slides and are outdated. Must understand material as well as him. Make sure you know the captions on the pictures in the textbook. Tests you on stuff he doesn't go over. Save yourself.

I'm a Bio major, but always found meteorology to be very interesting so I took this class just as an elective. Terrible idea. His exams are tough (2nd one the most) he flies through the slides so you have to rush to copy everything down, if you don't read the book you wont pass. Not approachable, not meant for those who are not meteorology majors.

notes arent online. must go to class. should read the book to study for exam. 4 exams, all averaged in the end, no curve. kind of boring, just go to class to take notes and listen. nice guy, will answer questions if youre not goofing off in class all the time. exam 2 is said to be the hardest. just pay attention and read and youll be ok.

His tests aren't easy for those students who are not majoring in the course material. He doesn't believe in extra credit and does not curve his class. Our class had the worst average on exam #2 (hardest one) & he blamed it on the students. His exams are not meant to get an A in unless you are an expert in this subject. Don't take for science credit

Really enjoyed his class. Need to go to class to take notes because notes aren't online. But going to class isn't that bad because the material is so interesting! I'm a psych major and he was able to interest me in this. Tests aren't too easy but as long as you go to class and take notes and read you'll do fine! 3 exams and the final. Take him!!

This is one of the rudest professors i have ever met. His attitude is disgusting. I am a meteorology major and i absolutely hate his class. For meteorology he was a better professor and cared about his students, but for climatology he is horrible. He goes 100 miles per hour in his notes, and tells paper thy cant be in college if they cant catch up

Took his class previously, went fairly well; he was understanding, approachable. Took him again, all had changed. He gave less time for note-takers. When approached, he insults your note-taking skills. Refuses to put his notes online bc 'students won't come to class', yet he does nothing BUT than repeat same notes in class. Just disrespectful now.

Class is very boring and takes about 15 minutes on one very simple slide. He moves slow because there is not much material to cover. Shows videos that are irrelevant to the exam. You come in not knowing what to expect on the exam because he never hands out any material. He is not very helpful either.

Classes are long and rich in meteorological information. Keith tries to incorporate stories that don't always help students make connections. Exams (4 throughout semester) are semihard to study for. Lots of information covered and exam questions tend to be 75% straightforward and 25% trick questions. Shows outdated films occasionally. Easy SAS core

I am a meteorology major so I enjoyed the class. Arnesen really knows his material but he goes through the power point slides way too fast. I'd advise typing your notes. Just study the notes and read the pages that he suggests in the syllabus and you'll be fine.

I enjoyed the class. He doesn't believe in grade inflation. He's one of those old-schoolers. Grade based entirely on 4 multiple choice exams, but with 100+ students in the class & no TA or grader, this makes sense. I reviewed notes or read the text several times per week, but I was paying to learn - not for an easy A.

show up, read the textbook, read the key terms and look over the questions and you'll be set. Can be a dry class if not into it. Go over textbook and notes and you'll be fine. Don't expect an A because the class "seems easy". There's more to meteorology than just looking at the weather forecast.

One of the easiest classes that I have taken. The prof knows his material & adds some funny personal stories related to it. Grades are based on multiple choice exams only; there are no problem sets. Maybe he is right that many of the students are lazy. Extra credit? Why should he have to do extra work to grade EC if we haven't done our work?

Long winded and boring. DO NOT TAKE for a science requirement. He does not care about his students. He offers no extra help and is sarcastic/rude when answering questions. If you are struggling he will not offer extra credit. NO way to boost grades. His class is not curved and our class averages were around the high 60's. He blamed the students.

Just pay attention and study night before. Really easy. Super crystal clear like beyond belief. Can be condescending though. Actually often but otherwise good professor
