Nice guy but seriously a poor performing professor. He makes a joke of the entire subject, jumps around, and goes on long declarations about his grandson, whom I know more about than anything on the syllabus. Everyone will tell you he's good because he's nice. But DONT CONFUSE NICE WITH GOOD. THIS GUY CANT TEACH.

I have taken two classes with Dr. Lloyd so far and look forward to taking at least one more before graduation. He is incredibly knowledgable and passionate about what he is teaching. I highly recommend any of his classes if you get the chance. Not only will you learn a ton, but you will grow as a student and as a citizen of the world.

Dr. Lloyd is such a great professor. His assignments and tests are hard, but the class is fascinating. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! He's one of the best lecture-teachers at Pepperdine

Amazing, but hard professor. He will make sure that you learn you stuff and it might be one of the lowest grades you get here, but you have a sense of accomplishment when you are done! His costumes for PIPAs are always hilarious and help set the tone of the class. Joke of the day doesn't hurt either. :-)

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE PROF!!! I took both his Com/Neg class and his Africa class--by far two of the best classes I've ever taken! He IS tough--he has high expectations of his students (as he should!!). I wish I could just sit and listen to him talk for the fun of it.

Dr. Robert Lloyd is an exceptional professor! Dr. Lloyd teaches the graduate course MPP665.02: The International Relations of Africa at the Pepperdine School of Public Policy. His knowledge of Africa was incredible, and his exceptional teaching style kept me interested from the first day of class to the last. Definitely one of the best professors I have ever had.
