Lawson is very clear in all his lectures. If you find something confusing, just ask him for help, and he will do it happily, without making you feel low or stupid. He's really great. I recommend taking his classes.

Kenny is a great teacher when he's actually teaching - three fourths of the class is speant on guest leacturers or movies, or discussion questions. I think sometimes he assumes students have a greater knowledge of world events or political things than many of them do, so if you take this class be warned - it's very challenging and time consuming.

I took several courses from Professor Lawson. I appreciated that he challenged us. He is extremely intelligent and teaches on a very intelligent level. He is fair, concise and generous in his willingness to assist if needed, you only need ask. I wish I could have taken all my courses from him.

I think Lawson seemed to favorite certain people in his class (usually members of his club) and I was very disappointed. I'm a major in Political Science now and it was not due to his class in any way. I'll give him that he deciphered Weber and Marx well to a group who had trouble. Not impressed.

wonderful person and a great professor... I found pople who think highly of him all the way on the other side of the country! Take any of his classes and you won't regret! you will actually learn a lot and know a great person! I have recommended him to soo many of my friends.

Kenny is very personable and a great teacher. I did very little by way of class participation and got a 3.4 even though class participation is supposedly a very big part of the grade. I would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in politics.

Helps you translate Marx and Weber's philosophies into understandable ideas. Nice guy, good sense of humor, wants your input. I didn't realize how much I'd learned in his class until I got to the UW, so glad I took it! Read the material, you'll get more out of it!

Lots of reading and writing, but great class, you will learn a lot. Will need to keep up to date on current news events. Good sense of humor, easy to talk to and understand.
