Tests are extremely straightforward. They line up very well with the material discussed in class. Basically, if you show up and pay attention you should pass no problem. There is an extra credit opportunity every week. Only issue is the lectures are oral and he does not use power points to keep on track so if you zone out for a minute youre screwed

Dr. Mullen is a great professor. He worked in the Criminal Justice field for years before teaching. His lectures are always super interesting and he gives opportunities for extra credit. By far my favorite professor yet!

His classes are 100% lectures but the lectures are not boring at all. He makes them very funny and interesting and easy to understand. His tests are easy if you take good notes and study them along with the definitions on the study guides. Awesome professor would recommend to anybody.

Comment:
Mullen lectures for the whole class, but his lectures are so interesting, which makes learning all of the information verbally worth it. He has an impressive criminal justice background so he is able to connect the information with a real-life example. The tests are relatively easy if you just go to class, listen, take notes, and study those notes.

Even though it is straight lectures he does a great job clarifying what you need to know. He does a study guide which makes the test a lot easier. He is honest about what its really like to work in law enforcement. He also gives great pointers on pursuing this career and what it takes to succeed. Don't be afraid to ask him for help!

Mullen is straight chalk-n-talk. Show up, take decent notes, get an A. No extraneous papers/projects. Generally tries to help students in any way. Gives a final study guide that gives a decent idea of the final exam, but if you do well on the other tests expect to do well on the final

This is one of those classes where it is easy to learn because his lectures are so good. He has stories to go along with what you are learning, he gives extra credit, and he tells you specifically what to read in the textbook so you don't have to read the whole thing. Plus, I actually learned the material. Great Professor!! Take him.

Mullen is hilarious. He's worked all over the field of criminal justice and isn't afraid to speak his mind. There are no assignments in this class other than to study for the 4 exams (all of which are 50 question multiple choice). Lectures are spoken with no power points but he has no attendance policy. Take good notes, study, and you will pass.

His class was all lectures and tests which I normally hate but it wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed his class and would definitely take him again if given the chance. While lectures can get old sometimes, he found ways to make them a little better, including telling us personal stories of his time in the police force.

4 tests, no homework, no attendance, no projects- but I would recommend going because he emphasizes what's on the test and it doesn't hurt that he's funny and tells great stories.

Have had him for 3 classes so far! Great guy and will make you enjoy going to class. Has tons of stories and real world knowledge about topics. Tests are mostly TF and multiple choice, almost all from lecture, some from readings (5 questions out of 50 generally come from readings). Teaches out of his head, makes it easy to remember.

Such a great guy. He worked in law enforcement for any years so he knows what he is talking about. He is pretty funny with all of his stories and props. Teaches class much like he is telling a story, if you take notes on what he says, you will do just fine.

I took Mullen for forensic investigation. We never used the book. As long as you go to class and take notes on his lecture you will make an easy A/B. He makes class interesting and his tests come straight from lecture and are all multiple choice. I highly recommend taking him for an easy GPA booster

He told a lot of stories, which kept it interesting and were away from the text but still relevant to the class. He covered the test questions clearly and the tests were pretty easy as long as you did the work and paid attention. Even the outside reading (books) were enjoyable.
