Her class is pretty easy as long as you keep up with the readings. What can make a difference in your grade are the participation papers that are sort of like her way of taking attendance/pop quizzes. Her tests are easy and her class is very interesting. I wouldnt mind taking a class with her again.

This isn't a class you take if you don't have interest in the topic. Her style is exactly what you think college would be like. That being said, it's extremely interesting and she's very open minded and open to different ways of thinking. I liked her quite a bit.

Terrible teach, tests were reasonable but grading on them was insane! your grade is dependent on 3 tests and a paper class averages on all were in the 70s. wish i never took her class. DONT MAKE THIS MISTAKE. its an interesting class but if you care about your grade please donttake the class, you will be disappointed in the end.

Too much Kimmel! Know details about every study assigned. She wants class participation. Read, read, read or you won't get an A!!!! Not as interesting as I thought the class would have been. When she says "in your own words" she really means in Kendal/Kimmel's words : ( And an 8 page paper is the final, but only worth 50pts.

Kendal was a good teacher and very willing to assist if there were any issues. I would recommend her to everyone! I just wish there was more personal learning and less "Well, Kimmel would say .." I could have learned what I learned in this class room just by reading the textbooks at home and not attending classes. Less Kimmel more Kendal

Worst class ever! She played favorites and was only open-minded if you agreed with her far left leanings and she took her vengeance out on your grades. Diversity is supposed to be about being open to ALL opinions, not just your own. AVOID at all costs!

Lesbian & Gay studies... never went but still got a decent grade. Very professional and a good instructor, but this class wasn't the greatest. I had her last spring for Soc of Gender and that class was amazing, though.

Lesbian and gay studies...thought it'd be interesting...it wasn't. She assigns a lot of readings that a boring and redundant. Plays favorites but usually to the people that deserve to be favored. Runs class late, doesn't give breaks (in 2 hr blocks).

This professor was a nightmare from day one. She let her favorite students do all the talking about subjects that were completely unrelated to the course. As a graduate seminar, it was completely unfocused and she had us reading material from 15 years ago. She took FOREVER to return 2 page papers.

Super easy. Gives lots of extra credit, shows movies, etc. Has a good sense of humor, and brings a queer perspective to her instruction.
