I took his online micro class over summer. Even though the class is mostly self-learning through online modules, he was really helpful and good at explaining things if you reach out. He does google hangouts which are great. Super helpful and willing - wants you to do well. Great guy, professor.

He is very hard to comprehend. He did not explain in-depth and breezed through topics. Help outside of class was hard. He allows test corrections, but DO NOT mention them or what grade you will get towards him.

Professor Greenlaw is a great professor. He wants you to learn but he is always there to help you. The online class had weekly quizzes and a few group assignments plus the three tests. The tests were not too bad as long as you studied and knew the material. He allows for test corrections which really helps. Some tests he also gives extra credit.

I was worried about taking this course because I had heard not great things about him. However, I was pleasantly surprised. He really cares about students & econ and really wants you to succeed. Be involved in class and go to his office hours and he will love you. Exams are challenging, but really not too bad if you study and go to class!

Good professor, smart guy. Favorites girls, cares about students. Sometimes rambles or is vague, can be a tough grader with unclear assignment tasks. However he is personable, keeps things interesting so I'm a fan.

This was my first online class and I enjoyed it with his enthusiasm but this class was a lot of work. You had to tweet a certain amount, write papers, write reflections, and show up in person to take atleast 3 tests on campus. It was a lot of work to do. He is a nice guy!

I love Dr. Greenlaw's class. He has made me consider becoming an Econ major. His lectures are wonderful and he cares for his students and knows each of them by name and their interests. I have already signed up for his class next semester. If you study for the tests, you'll do great. He is one of my favorite professors at UMW.

The best economics professor i ever had. He is hilarious and you can really learn stuff from his class. But I will NOT take his class again unless i don't care about my GPA anymore.

Greenlaw has favorites, yes,, but he gives all students opportunities to participate and learn. His papers are easy to write, but his exams are a bit difficult. He knows his stuff and explains it so well! I love his class.

Greenlaw tests this class at a graduate school level forcing you to know the material. However he does curve. The highest grade on the midterm (an A) was a 37 out of 50. Go to the office hours. This class takes the textbook and goes beyond it so you have to know it, and go to class to pass. Group study is the way I got good grades for exams.

I've had him for multiple courses, his non-principles classes are very challenging and do require dedication in order to do well. If you go to class regularly and provide good points to the lecture, he will like you. Economics is not easy, do not take him if you don't want to put in some serious work for a good grade.

Such an interesting class. He makes me want to get up in the morning, such a positive person if you answer anythign its not wrong, loves involving the students and gives plenty of examples. His xams are easy and you get the opputunity to get half the points back you missed just by explaining the right answer.Such a funny guy

Interesting course, but all he teaches are outdated, useless Keynesian theories. He flirts with and plays favorites with girls which is a problem. If you're a guy and do well on exams/assignments you'll still get a bad grade (from experience). Seems a bit arrogant but he is a smart guy.

GPA killer. Too laid back, confusing, disorganized, scatterbrained, vague, plays favorites (girls only). Tests are highly unpredictable. Teaches only outdated obsolete Keynesian theories. Worst tenured Economics professor at UMW.

Greenlaw is a great professor! Most people don't get him, but if you do, you'll be very impressed with how much he challenges his students. If you don't understand something, just go talk to him and he'll clarify. He expects you to learn/understand the material, not just memorize facts. His class is difficult, but not impossible.

Dr. Greenlaw is a great professor. I am glad that I had him for this class. I think that everyone learned a lot. Greenlaw's class was setup so that if you did all the work, you would get an A. I turned in all my assignments, posted blogs, read the book, and wrote my paper. I received an A in the class. It doesn't get more straightforward.

Overall, this was a good class. Considering the fact that econ is closely tied to politics, Greenlaw does a good job of keeping his personal political ideas out of his lesson plan and simply teaches the material. In the end if you go to class and pay attention you will do fine, and while he does flirt with his female students, it's not a big deal.

GLaw's my boy. Great guy, and as long as you attend lecture and take mediocre notes, you'll be fine. I dont know why some people don't like him, he is funny and gives great examples to get the point across. All of my friends in other econ classes wish they had Glaw. First test questions answer is always about opportunity cost!
