Although his history lessons were interesting and made it seem as though you knew the people he was talking about, he never really got his lesson's point across, making the tests a little difficult.

Mr. Kitchen is good teacher, but his class requires a lot of work. Attendance is a must, beacuse all lectures are the essay questions on the test. You must read the chapers because all MC on test come from your readings. He's very big on details, if you dont like a challege then dont take the class.

he is pretty hard, you have to know little details from the text and on multiple choice he gives you more than one good answer, he gives you double what you need to know on the study guide...but because you have to study everything you learn a lot more than in most history classes

I loved Mr. Kitchen. Yes he is hard but this is the real world. I love History and he makes even better. If you are not ready to work and study don't take him but if you like History and willing to work hard then take him you will enjoy it. I loved the round table and the oral reports.

I have never had a professor require me to know the insignificant details from the text like he does. If you don't have to take him, then don't. He forced me to switch the topic of my ten page paper two days before it was do. He had approved my original topic and then made me write a new paper.

Mr. Kitchen is tough. But to be honest he's one of the best professors at Tech. I took him for 101, 201, and 202. His tests are formulaic; you just have to deal with doing poorly on the first one, then you realize what he wants. I feel that he is one of the only professors at Tech that has prepared me to move on to C of C.

Mr. Kitchen is a very fair teacher. He knows his material. All of these people saying he is a bad teacher are IDIOTS. We are in college...he's exactly what i expect from a professor. Read the material, listen in class, STUDY and you'll do fine. His lectures are his essay questions. For those people who failed...it was NOT his fault, it was YOURS!

I have made deans list all 3 semesters at tech and am working on my fourth and am a member of phi theta kappa. take it from me that Kitchens is one of the worst profs at the college. Am. 202 is my fourth history course there and, before Kitchens, I had only earned below an "A" twice on any test or assignment. I have yet to make above a "B" in Kitch

i had him for a history online class..i ended up withdrawing because it was way too hard..i had to look up stuff on the internet that wasn't even in the book that he wanted us to know. all my discussions he disagreed with because apparently i'm not a history scholar. do not take this class unless you feel like agreeing with him on everything.

I just don't get these people who complain that his classes are too hard and his tests were too difficult. It was one of the best classes I've taken.Mr. Kitchen expects his students to have some intelligence and to do the reading. His tests were not that difficult. Each of his lectures were his essay questions. It's college not highschool people!

This professor is very intelligent and knows history. He is a tough instructor but demands only the best, and this is how a professor should be, and this is what students should expect. I enjoyed his class immensely and learned a great deal. Read notes, Read text, and attend class--you'll have a fair chance of passing.

He's tough, but he's what I expect in a professor. Most think he's hard, but if you expect college to be easy then you don't need to be there. You have to read!! If you read and pay attention to the lectures you will do just fine! If you don't do well in his class, then it's your fault, not his.
