Get ready to read the the entire Java book if you want to pass. His midterm isn't difficult but he doesn't prepare his students enough for the final (he didn't know what it would look like and it was totally different from what he thought). He reads off of slides and will make mistakes if you ask him extra questions or will answer very vaguely.

He's actually not a bad person. He's approachable but he lacks teaching skills like most professors so if you have to take him get ready to read the entire book on your own.

This guy is clueless, I don't know why is he even a professor. Concordia needs to hire better professors cause it's just rediculous. I had to read an entire book by myself. Avoid this guy if you can

He does not cover material in detail and will frequently have mistakes in his chalkboard examples, slides, and even his midterm solution (his sample midterm solution also had some mistakes). His knowledge of Java is clearly lacking.

Just don't take him. Hard midterm, it was all short answers compared to the other sections which where multiple choice. Don't go to lectures, read the book or go to Hanna's one.

Lack of teaching ability, just reads his slides one page by page. No key points, no help to learn things from his class. Be very careful to take his course

I highly doubt the objective in the comment below. In his winter 2018 class, only 2 students get A+. His lectures are so useless, only about 20 students kept attending classes in his last 3/4 lectures. The material covered in class is not relevant to the final exam. If you want to learn something useful for career, please avoid him. Good Luck

This professor is the best in Concordia University. The most important thing he likes to show respect as any other human being, with this professor the whole class must be good and you'll get an easy exam. By the way get ready to read and with his notes you'll get an A+.

An okay teacher, but his lectures are incredibly dense with sometimes superfluous material. His exams are not particularly hard, but they do require you to memorize (he's looking for exact wordings in your answers), and his slides are 10+ bullet points each. He's quick on giving back assignment and test results, though.

Honestly not a terrible teacher: knowledgeable on the subject, but he's pretty boring as a lecturer, and doesn't really make an effort. Show up to class, he'll be saying what questions are on the final throughout his lectures. His exams are heavily based on his slides and assignments, so review those. Book helps a ton to understand the material.

He seems more concerned about keeping the class average around 50% than making sure students understand the material.

Read the textbook! It is great and better than his notes. He is an incredibly tough grader. Our class average at the midterm was 56%. He says we understand the content but we don't know how to answer his questions... So the problem is with him and not the students.

Disorganized teacher. His voice is soooo low that we can barely hear it. His slides are almost useless since after reading them you still don't know how to do the assignments. He never posts solutions for the assignments. Try to avoid him.

All he does during lectures is read of his slides and move his head up and down. The worst part is when you begin studying for exams and you realize half of the slides have incorrect information. When you ask him to explain something, he doesn't know how, because he doesn't know the material himself. Do yourself a favor and avoid this 'Professor'.

Lectures consist of him talking while going through the slides. Slides don't explain much and feel cryptic, but if you ask questions he refers you to them. Assignments, Quizzes, and Exams are a HUGE step up from what he teaches. You could attend all the classes and be completely stumped on assignments. Avoid.

Very tough class. Soooo much material covered and final is very tough. Doesn't explain the material well, and actually makes things more confusing. Go to tutorials for proper learning. On the bright side, major curve in this class. Didn't learn much from the teacher. Hope to never have him again.
