Professor Cannon is a great professor! He always incorporates stories into the lectures to keep you interested. Although, you must show up to class to have all the notes. The lectures are not posted online . But I definitely would recommend him!

I loved Dr. Cannon! The stories he incorporates in his lectures help explain material. Start the study guides early, because its a lot of information to remember. Exams are really easy, just look over the notes and study guide. He doesnt post his lectures online so take notes in class.

Dr. Cannon was an amazing professor who taught us well. Hes hilarious and extremely knowledgeable in this field. I would recommend him anyway! But there are only 3 test grades and an extra credit paper in his class, so as long as you study you will do fine.

Dr. Cannon is the coolest. He makes class entertaining by engaging with students, even if the subject matter has nothing to do with class. The class itself is interesting, but you are only graded on three tests so you have to study for a week before if you want to ensure an A.

Dr. Cannon is hands down the best professor I have had at SIUE. He only makes you learn the information needed for the test, as well as the information you will need to know in your career. He is very funny and gives plenty of examples for each topic. The class only has three exams and if you study for about an hour per test, you'll get an A!

Dr. Cannon is awesome. He is very funny and is lectures are always interesting. Only downside is you are only graded on three exams. However, if you go to class, take notes, and study- you'll do great! He is very respectable and knowledgeable. I have recommended him to several people who all feel the same way!

Easily my favorite professor at SIUE. Not only is he a great professor who knows his stuff, but hes hilarious. Class is never boring. You only have three grades for the semester and theyre all tests, but if you take the time to study, theyre super easy. Cant wait to have him again for 202.

Cannon is a great teacher who gives lots of examples in his lectures. The only grades are 3 tests(not cumulative) but he does give chances for extra credit. Pretty badass and makes a lot of jokes about drugs and alcohol. Also really likes talking to the students.

Dr. Cannon is the most popular professor to most of the criminal justice students. He makes the lectures hilarious. The only downside is that the overall grade is an average of 3 tests, so it can be hard to get an A.

Comment:

Cannon is one of the funniest and most engaging professors I have ever taken. His lectures are interesting and he is always knowledgable about the material. Attendance not mandatory, but 90% of the exam material comes from class so if you come and take good notes, you'll be fine. There are only 3 exams so it is hard to get an A but it is possible.

I loved having Cannon as my CJ professor! He shares so many stories that correlate with what he's teaching. You remember a lot from the stories. As long as you don't skip any classes and you take notes, you should be fine in this class. Study your notes and your study guides!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS CLASS! Cannot express how much I enjoy Cannon as a professor. He is hilarious and keeps things entertaining, makes things stick and easy to remember late. Would definitely take again!

Show up, pay attention, and review your notes and study guide information and the tests aren't super hard and there's an extra credit paper that replaces your lowest test grade if you need it.

I LOVE Cannon. I've had him for two classes, and he is awesome. He tells the best stories, and he's really knowledgable. He cracks me up when he talks to random students in the middle of a lecture, but he gives you all the notes you need for the test!

Filipino Martial Arts- this is a hands on course. Cannon teaches you martial arts moves and you do them in class. If you get a B on the midterm and final and only miss one class you get an A overall. No studying. No reading. No lecture. Class is very enjoyable. Cannon enjoys beating the students (not literally). I enjoy the once a week 2 hour class

Great teacher! Attend all the classes and take good notes from his power point. He gives you a clear study guide. Test are easy if you paid attention and studied. Attendance isn't mandatory but I never skipped because he has amazing stories and the test are from your notes. Be ready to take notes every class all class long. Hand cramps every class.

Dr. Cannon is an awesome teacher. He literally tells you "write this down" while you're taking notes, and he skips over slides in his slideshow that he knows you won't need. Very helpful on papers and gives out a study guide for CJ 111. Hes super funny and tells all kinds of crazy stories.
