Comment:

Professor Dinh is just great. She was very clear about her expectations from the first day of class. She made learning the material interesting and also personal by encouraging discussions during class time. You need to read the book, take notes and pay attention during lectures, but if you do those things and show up to class you will do fine.

She is extremely funny because she views humans as being "so weird and so interesting and so funny". She likes what she does for the school and shes passionate about teaching. It was fun to have her class and to learn the topic, she just did not use the right kind of teaching style for me.

This professor was one of THE best professors I have taken thus far. She is definitely a tough grader but you will learn a lot from her. Attendance in mandatory but you are allowed 3 absences. She posts her lectured on blackboard but you will need th book to study.

She's supper nice and funny, really respects her students. SHE START THE CLASS RIGHT ON THE DOT, YOU GOT 2 FREE ABSENTS, SHE GIVE YOU 2 POINTS FOR BEING THERE. she give many extra credits on her exams. the exams are hard, YOU MUST STUDY. if you fail exams, you'll failed the class because there's no homework, quizzes. IF YOU STUDY YOU WILL BE FINE.

Amazing teacher, although slightly insane. No homework or random quizzes but your grade is based off of attendance and the 3 exams she gives which are based off her lectures and the textbook readings that you're supposed to read. Would take this class again in a heartbeat.

Professor Dinh is funny. I enjoyed her class. Easy A. Show up to her class on time or attendance won't be counted. No electronic use allowed. No need to waste your money buying textbook. She posts lecture notes on Blackboard. I especially liked how she talked about some of her experiences in clinical psychology.

Very easy class, 3 tests including the final, all multiple choice. Doesn't give homework or assignments. Gives notes, don't need to read the book for an A, just review the notes. Lectures are incredibly monotonous, I slept through most of them but attendance is mandatory.

If anyone has anything bad at all to say about Dr. Dinh or her class they are absolutely crazy. You have two free passes for attendance and then after that you get penalized but thats the only downfall to her class. You watch movies and go over powerpoints but the info is really interesting so its not a dreary class. Great class, easy A

exams are hard, and her study guides are not helpful. her class is interesting and fun, she gives points for attendance (if you come in on time, and dont leave early), but unless you do lots of readings on your own, you wont do well on the exams at all, because it is not enough just learning the definitions, you must know how to apply to situations

Go to class, skim the chapters. Three tests, a nice amount of extra credit. Put away your phone (make it silent)/ipod right before she comes in and you're fine. She's hilarious and the class is really interesting. I highly recommend it.

She's great! She's passionate about what she teaches. She hates cellphone use in the class. First time your phone goes off, you get a warning, second time, you get your 2 points taken away and you have to dance in front of the class to get them back! She's fun and her tests are easy & clear. I highly recommend her. She gives a mental health day.

Great class, lots of discussion, but you WILL WORK, Dr. Dinh is not a cake-walk. If you want a cake class, take some one else. You will learn a lot, however. A major paper is required, and she is a stickler for APA style on all papers passed in.

Comment:

I took her Graduate level Psych of Diversity and found her to favor the female students over the male ones, and grade the male ones harder as well. I wouldn't recommend her unless you need to take a required class and she is the only one teaching it, and if you can wait to the next semester (when she isn't teaching that course) then do so.
