Comment:

Professor Kimerling is a nice person, but this class kinda sucked. The class was super easy. I barley put any work into it and got an easy A. She doesn't really listen when you talk or ask questions, and the material is super repetitive. Some of the information is interesting, just to learn how our political system works. Overall easy, but boring.

Her class is so boring and the lectures are useless. The professor spends about 2/3 talking about the NY Times. Even though current events correlates with the class it shouldn't be discussed more than the actual lecture that would be in the midterm and the final. Also, she gives you no real answer in regards to what will be on final or midterm.

Comment:

She is very kind and thoughtful. The books she assigns are very good (1 book for each week regarding oil history in the world and the environment) Weekly response paper for those assigned books besides the week you need to lead class once in the semester. Final paper (about 10 pages) is 50% of the total grade. Good Luck!

You know how some profs' stress you out and you end up not learning anything? Well she doesn't and I think a lot of profs forget this. They drill you so you'll know the info,and then it goes out the window when you leave. She doesn't stress you,and by doing that you leave with more info. She's good people,take her.

She is so dedicated as an environmental lawyer! She only gives a midterm, final, and a group presentation. The presentation is so easy. Take her for this course! If you go to class and pay attention, don't worry that you didn't do the readings. She explains things really well. I didn't do a single reading she assigned and did extremely well.

a real pro in the field on environemental law, her experiences are extraordinary. Class content was always interesting. Not boring formal textbook teaching, all experience based. Opened my eyes to environmental issues and politics. Exams are fair, lenient when it comes to projects. I had fun and learned a lot in both courses I took with her.

A horrible teacher. She requires the NY times for every class. Never talks about anything you can actually learn. Makes you buy 4 text books that you will never even read. she's easy but tricky because she's an attorney but sometimes i wonder if she really is. she said a better answer to "willful misconduct" would be "wicked misconduct" or even "evil misconduct". um yeah. so sometimes she'll get ultra technical with you on exams but then what lawyer uses "wicked misconduct"??

Pain in the neck! shows up late, teaches u nothing, too lazy to write a study guide, you have no clue what will be on the exam, and then when you write the exam she criticizes students to take a comp lit class to learn how to write, knowing there is not enough time to write very well, a midterm and final, dont waste ur time people she is horrible

SO BORING ! She shows up to class 10 minutes late everyday, reads the NY Times for the next 30 minutes, then holds you past the end of class to explain the things ACTUALLY related to class. Oh, and she beieves in 1/4 of a point ! WTF ! DON'T TAKE, WAY EASIER TEACHERS/CLASSES.
