Ton of readings, but is a relatively easy grader. Based on two papers, midterm, final, and attendance/participation. If class isn't really engaged, he'll start calling on people. However, it was a really informative class concerning the Black American experience and a caring professor; highly recommend if you're willing to put in that work to read.

although he is not always successful he makes an effort to engage his students. you can email him about flexible office hours. He has an accent but people drag. You'll understand what hes saying. he's good at what he does and hes interested in what he teaches. he literally WANTS to give you an A. you only need the texbooks for the test dont by them

Ok. To be honest, this professor is a nice guy. He will give you the chance to look over his slideshows on blackboard and In class.... although if you like Political Science then I would suggest a different professor. He is a horrible grader. Midterm is mad hard /3 or 4 sentences and a few examples from the text book. BUY THE BOOK! DON'T TAKE CLASS

I have no idea what people are taking about?! He is a really good professor. He knows his stuff and teaches you very well. He gives you the copy of the exams but don't expect a 100 if you never opened the book. His test answers are suppose to be in detail and to the point make sure you write 3 to 4 sentences and throw in an example he likes that.

Dr. Pierre-Louis is very intelligent and knows his subject matter. He gives review sheets for both exams, midterm and final. All you have to do is include some details from the textbook so he knows you read. I received an A and would take him again.

Pierre Louis is an excellent professor- Engaging Intelligent Humorous and Well Informed. He has an accent but most of the time he''s understandable. He gives chances to improve your writing. Do the readings participate and you''ll do fine.

Prof. Pierre is awesome. He is funny, he knows his stuff but he can be a tough grader at times. When taking his exams, be sure to include knowledge from the assigned books. He gives a review sheet before each exam. I took him twice- I took international politics and international organizations and got A and B+ respectively.

What are you haters talking about?! Professor Louise has such a good sense of humor, and everything he says is correct. If you think he is hard for a political science professor, we then dont even consider law school. Great guy, great class, clear review sheets for exams ..take him!

I have no clue what half of you are talking about, he is not that hard to understand, first off. He is extermely clear and precise, as far as his grading goes, as there are review sheets stating EXACTLY what will be on the exams. Secondly, he gave me a second chance on a paper that I intially failed. Also, he is a very bright and well educated.

He's a very helpful and informative professor. The discissions in class were so interesting. He's not the best note give though, so you have to pay attention. He gives review sheets exactly with the questions for midterm/final so if you just read the book it's no problem. He's incredibly helpful; I reccomend him. :)

Very funny, down to earth, and gives an interesting view on American government. Despite comments that he's an unfair grader, if you follow the maxim that you get what you put in, you'll flourish in his class. So keep up with the readings and be opinionated with the facts and it should be smooth sailing with this professor.
