As long as someone signs you into class youre good for attendance because youre not missing much anyways. Pretty funny guy but the most boring lecture ever. I learned absolutely nothing but the class was easy.

This professor does NOT give clear instructions whatsoever. His assignments are long or they are just for busy work. I did not get much out of this class, I would not recommend. Class is dry as well.

Took him for history of American education he doesnt use PowerPoint or give any notes talks a lot and its mostly off topic. Write down everything he says itll be on his quizzes it was an easy class. Dont except more than an 80 on your quizzes he said I wouldnt even get a 100 on my own quiz. Theres one paper and its confusing way too long.

By far the worst teacher I've ever had. This man has no idea what he assigns for homework. Sometimes he will forget to assign the homework and assumes you did it. He will bash your work without even reading it. Hist of Amer Ed is not about education, its about slavery/segregation. I did not learn anything about Amer Ed. Don't take this class.

I love Professor Holder. He's really easy to pass. He gives a few quizzes which are either online or in groups and gives you a project that's literally an easy A. He does go off topic, but it makes the class really easy. He trusts you if your sick and can't make a class. But, when you can go to class, and you'll pass.

Bro listen to me right now, I have no idea why this man is listed as a 2.9, but listen to me if you're taking History of American Ed... Take this class. Legit, show up to class, 3 easy quizzes, you talk in class, you do the 1 project, A+. I cannot stress enough how much of a beast this guy is bro. Do yourself a solid and take his class

I was really surprised that I loved his class. He comes off very unhelpful but if you put in effort he will help you. You will learn so much more than History of American Education, he will teach about modern problems too. You only take a few quizzes and do a few projects for grades, and they were really easy as long as you paid attention.

Cool person, boring teacher. He requires a lot of homework, reading and notes and lectures for a long time in class. He has no auditory memory so he repeats himself a lot which can be annoying but he grades pretty easily. If you show up and do the work, you'll pass.

He's an interesting guy, but you don't really learn a lot of stuff about education. He relates everything back to slavery/ white supremacy. Not a lot of work, just 3 quizzes and a project. Attendance/ Participation makes up a pretty big portion of your grade as well. If you show up and do all the requirements, you'll get an A-

His classes are easy but this class is boring/annoying. He lectures the whole time and sometimes gets off topic. He focuses a lot on white-supremacy and slavery which is annoying because it never has anything to do with American Education. I learned more about slavery than American education.

Dr. Holder does not seem to care about his students. He does not know any of our names. Everytime you ask him a question he tells you to "leave him alone." He's very rude and frustrating when he takes points off tests for no reason. I would take a different professor honestly.

I took Dr. Holder for Intro to Africana Studies and he is a pretty good professor with some strong opinions. He's also a pretty tough grader. I literally had to ask him what I needed to turn my B essays into A essays. The quizzes were easy since he gave out the questions beforehand. Come to class, pay attention, skim the readings and you'll do fine

Holder assigns a lot of reading, but I know many people, myself included, barely did any of it. He goes off on a lot of tangents, which isn't necessarily bad, because they're usually worthwhile or entertaining. Definitely, definitely show up and participate in discussions. I think we had maybe three quizzes and then one project.

Holder is an interesting man. Just show up to class, talk as much as you can, and otherwise stay out of his hair. He hates emails and questions so avoid that. Forget the book, listen to him talk and youre gold.

Extremely easy class! Take it for an easy A! Nice guy but very opinionated and gets off topic easily. No exams or finals, only a project and a few 5-question quiz's. Also attendance is 1/5 of your grade so be sure to go to class!

Dr. Holder basically lectures about his personal opinions on topics that sometimes aren't even relevant to History of American Education. His classroom environment was uncomfortable, and he wasn't helpful. But, you'll end up with an A if you show up.

I don't know where people are getting this idea that he is anti-white. I was in his Africana Studies class and I had him for History of American Education as well. I was the only white student in this class. I didn't feel or sense any anti-white feelings. You'll learn a lot from this professor.

Go to class, it will help your grade. Books are used twice in the beginning then never again. He can be really mean for no reason but he thinks he's being funny. He totally makes up your final grade by how many requirements you completed. Didn't learn anything.
