Comment:
Lectures are important to attend. Grade is based on tests, there are no other assignments. Philosophy is a little difficult to wrap your head around at times but Professor Roggli explains it in a great way and it clear on what he expects. Spent a lot of time on the topic of God existing, which may be a bit much. Overall an interesting class!

I took this class to complete a requirement for my general ed & also because I was interested in taking a philosophy class. Kurt's lectures are entertaining and hilarious. Attendance is not mandatory, but his class is fun & easy if you go. Definitely will be taking another class of his again.

Roggli was an amazing professor. His lectures were hilarious and it felt as if there was never a dull moment. There are 4 tests for the first three its material from the book but the last section is not in the book. Make you sure you attend his lectures because things he says are on the exams. Thank you Roggli I really enjoyed your class!

You only have four tests, so your grade rides on how well you do on those. If you miss class, you miss valuable information, plus you're going to need his examples and explanations to really get things down. Roggli is hilarious. He tells you exactly what he wants and gives away answers, but he'll need you to be specific on tests, so memorize!

Kurt is the man! He goes on long tangents for the entire class and keeps his lectures exciting. Attendance isn't required but I suggest attending often. He basically gives you the answers to all tests days and the day of the test. Don't argue with him about unjustified topics cause he'll shoot it down. He is overall down to earth and hilarious

Dude's been doing this so long he lectures off the top of his head! No homework, just four tests -- FOUR TESTS for your WHOLE GRADE. You better do the reading and show up for lectures or you WILL fail. Tells you exactly what's on the test and how to pass it. It's up to you to make sure you can apply & meet the criteria in essay format on test day.

I took philosophy as a pre-req. He lets the class take tests when they are ready, no clear outline for semester. No homework and only a couple of test during the semester. He goes off on long tangents a lot of the time so its hard to tell what is on the test and what isn't but the tests were super easy. His grading scale is confusing though.

Took intro to Philosophy, was my faborite class up until the religion section. He spent months suddenlly lecturing on the same stuff over and over again. I don't know what happened, he suddenlly became dull & preachy. Spent at least a month on God and barely grazed ethics. The rules of logic at the beginning were interesting & helpful though.

Professor Roggli provides a mechanism that enables one to think in a new way. This is a simple statement but one that underlines the purpose of higher education. You might get the impression that the tests will be simple from his demeanor, but the tests are fairly difficult and nearly everything evaluated is derived from lecture. Don't skip class.

Comment:
Prof. Roggli does a great job of explaining topics and actually making them applicable and logical. He can get off on tangents sometimes, but they usually pertain to the material and provide a lot of food for thought. Tests are difficult due to the material being a bit difficult, but he makes it much easier to understand

Went in looking for informed philosophical discussion, and left feeling like he imposed opinions and not well constructed arguments on the class. He wouldn't even approach Moral Nihilism, which to me is one of the most important topics. Allowed cheat sheets.

This class was very entertaining. Likewise, I studied around 1-3 hours per exam, and passed them with ease. Just be logical and think beyond yourself. If you stick around and talk to Kurt about any given topic, he can really offer some great knowledge.

This was a pretty easy class. Prof is clear and repeats things. I studied somewhere between 1-3 hours per test and got an A in this class. If you're a religious person then prepare to possibly be offended. Other than that I'd definitely recommend this professor. As long as you go to every class and study it's an easy A.

Cool guy but his tests are ridiculous. The book is really hard to comprehend and so is he. I would not recommend this teacher if you want a good grade.

This class has a lot of interesting discussions. Kurt is a really wise professor & has straight forward tests & he will tell you what to study. The only thing that I didn't like was the essay question type of tests you need to answer. Overall, I think his class would be a great Philosophy class to take if you're interested!

Great professor. Really knows his stuff. What I find most helpful about his teaching style is that he really knows how uninterested most people are when it comes to philosophy. He structures his lectures for those who will be easily lost, but will entertain tough questions. Great for an intro class.

So my final grade is a C. I like his personality but didn't get the grade I deserved even though I actually should earn a better grade because I learned alot and know the material. He says that you have a chance of getting an A if you have a C on the first two test but it didn't happen...

He made me loved Philosophy ! But I'm worried about my grade right now. Got a C on the first test and a C- on the second. Do the Moral Judgement paper to boost your grade up. It can be short. I think. But I don't know how well I'll do on this last exam but its easier than the first 2. Take him and study hard to get an A !

I'm in love with this teacher. I have never rated a teacher before because "rating" someone isn't my thing, but this guy is one of the BEST teachers I have EVER had and I wanted to take a moment to share my enthusiasm. Take his class. You will learn. You will laugh. You will not regret a single moment in his class.
