This man is the worst prof I've ever had. I actually like him as a person and I enjoy discussing Shakespeare with him, but as a professor, he is my nightmare. you basically have to memorize every Shakespeare play word for word to pass and he will probably hate your paper. Basically, everyone fails the class and he curves the grades.

Overall the class is easy, but you're only graded off 4 assignments, 2 tests, 1 paper, and the final; so there's no room to mess up. It's a very boring class. All he does is read stories out the book at 8am in the morning which doesn't make it easy. As long you are specific on his tests you can pass with an A, but it comes at a cost, boredom!

If you are not an English major, or just interested in Shakespeare in general, you probably won't like this class. Dr. Glover has a dry sense of humor and he makes you work for your grade, but he gives great feedback and generally cares for his students. If you don't read, you won't pass, guaranteed! Be ready for a play a week.

He gave pop quizzes with impossible questions that were practically like "What does Hamlet say on page 48 line 13?" And when everyone fails them, he says, "these quizzes aren't designed for your success, they are designed to challenge you." Only class I ever dropped.

If you're good at reading long ancient stories, you will do fine. Assigns readings, expects you to read all and the only thing you do every class is he picks out important parts of each story. Tests are hard. He picks passages from stories read, without telling you which ones, you have to figure out where its from and write about it.

Didn't really teach us anything, made us read a lot and expected us to know the material pretty much word for word. Prefers quantity over quality for essays. Kind of felt like it was his way or the highway.

I took Shakespeare. At first I had a D, but I put 100% into the class and By midterm I had a B!! He is hard and strict...but if you go to class, pay attention, really really read into the stories, know more than just a summary. Pay good attention to what he wants and work hard. He is really hard and if you don't try you will fail.

Dr. Glover is amazing. Keep up with your reading assignments and you WILL get a good grade. Utilize his office hours to ask for help if you need it (I don't know what others were thinking saying he isn't helpful, he let me reschedule a test because I was going out of town, which most professors won't do!) Also had him for ENG 332 and got an A!

I am an English Major so I had to take Dr. Glover. This class was hard. He likes detail. Work hard, pay attention, and show up. After I finished, I truly felt accomplished. I may not have liked the class, but after that, I had the confidence to get through anything. He will work you hard, but after it is over, you will understand why he did it.

Notice that most of the negative comments on here are loaded with spelling/grammar errors. He is a very intelligent professor and is helpful...unless he can tell that you haven't put any effort into it yourself. If you don't try, he won't carry you. I always learn a great deal in his courses and I've taken 3.
