Do not take him. Avoid him at all costs. I dreaded his class and find him as a person to be repulsive. All he did was speak poorly of his ex wife and make fun of students. He belittles students when answering questions, his lectures are boring and useless, you will not be tested over lecture material, and I suggest that you utilize quizlet!

He's really rude for no particular reason. First day of class he insulted my major. Then, continually brought it up later. His class is mostly him reading from slides and making jokes about his ex wife. Would not recommend to anyone.

Just a really dumb teacher. All of the exams are rigged. You honestly dont know what to study and he gives you the tests about 2 days before hand. Mind you that you have to study around 5 chapters and youre given two days to do so. Hes very unorganized and very stupid. He openly tells the class he doesnt want to teach there either

He lectures well and allows input from students. He has a sense of humor that is refreshing and made him approachable. He genuinely wants the class to absorb the information in his lectures and from the text.

I will not be taking this professor again. He grades for minute grammatical errors (not content), and refuses to work with his students. I emailed him asking for clarification about a grade I received, so he lowered it even more! His tests have irrelevant essay topics. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He does not care about his students' success whatsoever.

I took this professor about a decade ago. He basically read from powerpoints. I spent most of my time struggling to stay awake. If he likes you, you'll probably make an A. Nice guy. Funny. Would have a beer with him. But didn't learn anything from him.

I was not impressed with Mr. Gunderson at all. Did not give clear instructions, but he would grade your paper as if you were in a doctorates program. No bonus points, so your final grade is what you're stuck with. I emailed him with concerns often and he was always nonchalant and usually brushed me off as if it didn't matter. Will never take again.

I would not recommend this instructor to anyone. He is very critical when grading, even with discussion posts, but he is never willing to help you adjust to what exactly he is expecting. Definitely not an instructor who's goal is to help his student, and his actions speak for him. If possible, I will never take his course again.

Would not recommend to anyone, just being honest. He seems to think that he is teaching on a graduate level, and he expects things that a lot of people have not learned. Problem is, he doesn't teach you what you don't understand. You prep for his written exams and when you actually take the exam your preparation essay topic won't be on the exam.

Lectures are kinda dull but he tells a few jokes to keep it interesting, Tests are pretty straight forward and often recycles quiz questions. Overall he seems intimidating at first but he's not that bad. He knows his stuff and if you work hard you should be able to pass his class.

I have taken many history classes before, and I have enjoyed them all. This class, however, I did not! Takes off terribly for incorrect spelling and not clear with instructions... The worst teacher I've ever had.

I had Gundersen years ago. His class prepares you for university level classes if you transition to a four year school. No, he's not easy, but college is not intended to be easy. If you can't handle his class, you may not be ready for post high school education. Read your required reading and study. A's are possible.

I took him for an online history class. He's pretty easy as long as you're willing to spend a little extra time to proofread your essays. It occasionally took him a day or two to answer emails, but it wasn't too much of a problem. overall, I liked this class.

Test information is irrelevant to the rest of the class. The book is used for quizzes only and never discussed. Very rude when politely asked about material. No positive feedback or constructive criticism. Strict grading on research paper. "World Civ" is only Muslim culture. Sadly, no other teachers offer this course. Avoid if possible.

I took Dr. Gunderson for History II. I don't really like History, but Dr. Gunderson made it very interesting. If you pay attention in class, and show up, you will be fine. Be prepared to write essays but he is pretty easy on the grading. Don't be intimidated.
