Lee was the best math teacher I had at Tech. After struggling with other teachers, I found I could do well in Lee's classes so I took every math class he taught. He is quirky and off-beat, which makes the classes interesting and memorable. I still think about them years later.

What an awful teacher. I put so much work in this class and I was lucky enough to get a 75% before the final, and I worked my ass off. This guy is a failure of the teaching world, even with "History of Math".

Took "History of Mathematics" with Lee. I've heard he's AWFUL in his other classes, but this one is one he's decent at. It's really a "History AND Math" class, though. You should probably enjoy history before taking it. For this class, his tests are fairly easy, and the homework is easy. Topics are often rambling and sometimes not math-related.

Horrible! AVOID HIM!!! Can't teach and has a crude and sometimes offensive humor. Read and learn from the book! I went to class only to find out what would be covered on the exams and to turn in homework. A learning center appointment helps a lot with going over the problems that you couldn't get on your own.

There are strategies to doing well in his class. First, find the textbook answer manual PDF: makes homework a breeze, and you'll actually learn more. He sucks at grading tests and doing partial credit. Just survive his tests; cash in on the final. Doing homework all semester gives you a huge advantage on the final, which is curved ridiculously.

horrible, collects homework and the tests are HARD. He tends to do things his own way and often gets distracted in class, very hard to understand, you WILL need outside help to pass his class

He is a horrible teacher, I'm a math major and I was practically failing before I dropped it and took it from a diff. teacher. So many people complained about his grading that the administration made the final test the overall grade. And if you do one part of a math problem wrong, you get zero overall points for the problem. Keep away!

Made spontaneous jokes to keep people awake. Tests were tricky, so much so that he was forced to accept the common final grade as the overall grade, which was really helpful. After getting used to his tricky tests, it was nice to have a straightforward and relatively easy test to be graded by.

Lee was alright, at first I compared him to Dennis Lewendowski and thought he sucked, but I began to laugh at him b/c he sounded a lot like the guy off of unsolved mysteries. His tests were tricky and not at all straight forward, and they took a month to get back. You prob want to look around for a different prof before picking him.
