Horrible professor - she put in ZERO effort. When I was a student, she was too busy working on her PhD to teach. She gave dull, obtuse lectures using bland powerpoint presentations pulled straight from the text.

Shelly was great. Made me feel like she really cared, and she made her classes innovative and interesting. Obviously passionate. For graduation, gave me a card: "High hold the light you have been given." I thought that was so cool.

Shelly is so great! She is a wonderful teacher who really cares for her classes and students. She has been an awesome mentor to me, and has helped me out numerous times. I'm so sad that she's giving up teaching and advising, she will be missed!
