Professor Nissim, is a sweet older man who you can tell loves to teach. Unfortunately, he is very difficult to hear and understand. I sat in the front of the class and could still barely hear him. And he has terrible handwriting that didn't make it any easier. I took his class at 8:30am, and I couldn't stay awake because of his low monotone voice.

The material wasn't necessarily difficult but he never explained things very clearly. I took this class at 8:30 am and it was very difficult to stay awake because he's very monotone and doesn't engage students much. He's a nice person and will never make you feel bad for asking questions but his responses to questions often don't help much.

While learning to read his handwriting should probably count as the foreign language requirement, the class itself is pretty easy. He is very patient and will explain things as many times as necessary. Very light workload. The test are fairly short & the lowest grade gets dropped. He wants you to do well so if you try you can get an easy A.

Homework isn't graded. 4 tests - only 3 count. His class is hard because it's math but you don't actually ever do the calculations on his tests. Highly recommend. He makes math easy to pass even if you can't do math! Plus he always has great stories.

It really depends on if you''re a good math test taker. His handwriting is hard to read but he dictate everything he writes. There''s three exams where the lowest is dropped and a final that''s worth a large chunk of your grade. Just do the practice problems to study for the exams.

the worst teacher i have had so far. nissim is a nice guy but knows nothing about how to teach a class. do not take this if youre trying to get a good gpa, almost everyone got 60s and 70s on the tests. he requires so much extra work

He's one of the worst teachers i've had so far. Besides the fact that you can't read what he writes on the board half the time, his teaching style is terrible. He gives tests that are hard and stressful, his point system on the tests is ridiculously unfair and he hardly gives partial credit. He also gets angry at people asking questions.

I've had him twice so far, and he definitely makes you work for your grade, but you really do learn the subject if you do the work. Don't expect to get a good grade without going to class or doing the homework. The tests are difficult, but doable, and he is very helpful in recitations.

Usually I can't stand the white boards they're using these days but I think Nissim would really benifit from one since his handwriting is really faint and horrible! He's a very friendly man, and if you work with him outside of class, he's tremendously helpful, but in class he's hard to follow. But he's not bad.

Nice man and very helpful when you need help. Attendence and homework is not madatory, but I suggest it in order to do well in the class. Boring class, but not much can be done to liven up a multivariate calc class. Only offers early classes which isn't very good.

8:30 am class, I only went every other class period because it was so boring. Attendance is optional and so is homework but don't be fooled because the material is very hard to grasp (for me anyways since i'm terrible at math). I suggest getting a tutor early on in the course if you have problems with math.
