By far the best professor at Fordham. Although the class is extremely challenging, you learn so much you learn how to study better. Kapas is so dedicated to his students, he even stays on campus until 11 PM for review sessions! Kapas is also extremely nice, it makes it hard to hate the class. His accent is also cute, lol

If all of Fordham's science professors were as good as Dr. Kapas, all pre-meds would get into med school. He is one of the best professors I have ever had and by far the best the bio dept has to offer. This class will take over your life and all of your free time. Dr. Kapas truly cares about each of his students and wants them all to succeed!

Dr. Kapas is the most amazing professor at Fordham. The class is extremely challenging, but you learn so much and everything makes a lot of sense when Dr. Kapas explains the topics. He is so helpful and he is willing to do whatever it takes to help his students succeed. Be prepared to work harder in this class than in Organic Chem

You will actually learn something worthwhile if you are prepared to study hard. Kapas expects a lot out of his students, but he gives a lot in return as far as putting in the time to help you understand the material and really preparing you for med school.

By far the most stressful but most rewarding class I have ever taken at Fordham. It is possible to get an A, but you really REALLY have to work hard for it. The nicest guy...always willing to help - he wrote my nursing school recommendation - take him if you have the chance.

Forget orgo, this is by far the hardest class offered by the university. However, it is possible to get an A if you work extremely hard (meaning more than every other class you have that semester combined). Dr. Kapas is one of the best at this university, and nothing makes him happier than to help you understand the material.

A great first med school class while you are still an undergrad. It really sucks when you are in the class, but the class is money once you get to med school. You will remember a lot more than you think.

Crazy workload but you learn alot. If you're not willing to put in lots of time and effort, don't take the class, you won't do well. 6 tests including a cumulative final. It was intimidating but it was surprising how much you remember.

Amazing professor. I learned more in his one class then I did in my past two years as a biology major. His work is very hard and demanding but the reward is an outstanding grasp of Human Physiology. Well worth it.

Great Class you just need to put time into studying. Also if you have time during winter or summer break review bio section of MCAT books. It helped me alot. So far I've gotten 90's most of his tests. Also GO TO REVIEWS!!!

Class was very demanding.4 tests and after you finish one test u have to immediately start studying for the next one 3 weeks away. I dont even remember anything from the class, it was too intense, but memorize his notes exactly and u can survive.

By far the worst, most discouraging professor I've had. No 18-yr old college soph should suffer from the lack of sleep and social isolation that his class caused. His class was more demanding than my current med school courses.

VERY demanding class, but you just need to take the time to do the work to get the grade -- helps you to prepare for exams (practice essays (60+) and tests) and all class notes accessible via ERes.
