I had Dr. Roland for Writing Studies II as a Freshman at Lindsey Wilson College. At first I thought that she was crazy, then I accepted her teaching technique. A football player and I sat next to eachother in class and she gave us a hard time but it was only because she expected a lot out of us as individuals. She's a wonderful lady get to know her

Wow. Do not take Roland for anything if you have the choice! She is rude and not at all helpful. We did a ton of work that she forgot she had assigned us so it never got graded. Some days she'd ask us for an assignment that she never gave to us. DO NOT TAKE HER!

I took this class as a freshman and needless to say I had a very hard time. I can't say that I learned anything because it was very unorganized. I didn't understand the grading. Some of the work seemed meaningless.

I had her once before and she was great, but somewhere along the way she has changed drastically, and appears to have become a paranoid, diabetic, schizophrenic. She requires so many texts for her class that I had to take out a second mortgage on my house.

absolutely confused and egomaniacal. she would give notes on a topic on monday, then give contradicting notes on the exact same topic the following wednesday. the only way to succeed in this class was a ridiculous amount of sucking up (including an excrutiating amount of time spent in her office), and receiving a b instead of an a was a sacrifice i was willing to make. i had to go to dr. shaw for personal tutoring in order to un-learn and re-learn literary criticism.

Dr. Roland was simply awful. Rude as could be, terribly unorganized, poor teacher, unclear grading standards, and absolutely unwilling to deal with any students on a fair basis 99% of the time. Avoid at all costs, especially if you're a white male.

I must say, this professor is awful. She is unorganized, haughty, and enjoys only talking about the topics she likes to talk about instead of trying to teach an overall survey of topics. I highly reccomend avoiding this professor if at all possible.

Ok-someone is getting extra credit after class! She is Maddam Satan!!! Hard, unreasonable and most importantly she thinks she is too smart to teach! I would rather fall of the empire state building onto a bike w/ no seat than to take her class again!
