I usually dont write on these but I just have to say that this class is awesome. She is a great teacher and there for help....you do have to put effort in but it was one of my highest grades the semester I took it. And yes she's an adorable older lady :)

If you do the assigned readings, her explanations make way more sense than if you're just sitting in class half asleep. This is university, so don't expect bio to be a walk in the park. She brings interesting papers and concepts into the lecture and overall does a great job, I think.

Very Very Dry and boring course when taught by her.Hard to pay attention with quit/monotone voice.Easy to lose attn when she makes information not interesting.Notes are basicaly skeletal of the bio book. Exams decently easy if you study. She cares for her subject, but cant connect with students in the right way which makes students dislike her(me).

Pay attention in class and do the exercises she provides. Go to the office hours she provides and she will feed you the answers to the exercises. Most if not all questions were taken directly from the exercises. She is a nice person if you actually take the time to get to know her, unlike half the people here writing reviews on her.

If you can force yourself to pay attention, you'll notice that she really is passionate about her subject. Unfortunately that doesn't translate to her teaching style at all. Monotonous lectures that are either too slow to sustain interest or too fast to copy the notes down, all spoken in a dreary voice.

Oh god, stay away. lectures are incredibly boring and repeditive despite moving at a pace too fast to retain anything. Might as well skip class and read notes on blackboard/moodle, you'll have to anyways. Annoying voice for me as well. I feel thoroughly unprepared for the midterm. Huge readings too.

I think she is adorable lol. I know she is a bit hard to understand at times but she knows her stuff and will give a long explanation of anything if you ask for it.

She's okay. Hard to understand at times and boring, but she tests pretty fairly and gives you practice questions that are very similar to the ones on the test. As long as you read the textbook or go to class you should be fine. Don't really have to do both.

She's a little boring...and she is hard to understand sometimes but she is super nice so don't be afraid to ask to to clarify. I sat at the front of class and took detailed notes. Got an A in her class since she tests right off her notes and it's multiple choice!

Really nice lady, interesting to talk to outside of class. However her teaching style is pretty boring and you'll spend your time scrambling to write down her notes. Tests were relatively easy, multiple choice, straight from notes. Overall interesting course.

Most of the time she mumbles and doesn't speak into the mic, but overall I didn't find her all that bad. Yes, I fell asleep in class quite a bit due to her beautifully monotone voice, but her notes were very clear. She tested solely on what she wrote down and the format was easy to understand.

Very dull lectures. Shows no enthusiasm whatsoever. She refused to wear a clip on mic but would turn her head away from the stand mic every sentence. We would have to constantly remind her to speak into the mic. Along with most of the bio department she is not very approachable or friendly.

NAAAPP TIMME EVERYONE! I swear she can't TEACH!!! she must retire anytime soon! She has no idea what she is talking about and reading the book is the only way you would understand her material. Creasey is better... in comparison

Painful. She was dull, and extremely hard to listen to. Her notes were incomplete on numerous occasions. She would get off topic or talk about more advanced material, which resulted in a lot of confusion. A good thing, though, is that she only tests what was talked about in lecture, so memorizing the text book isn't necessary.

She can't pronounce ANYTHING, she has no idea what she is talking about AT ALL! honestly i think they hired a random person off the street-she is not a prof, JUST RETIRE ALREADY. hated her and hated the course, AWEFUL!!!! bascially learn from the textbook yourself.

This class would probably be a good class with a different teacher. Often during class students would have to correct the information that she was giving us. She is very unclear and her tests are not easy. The lab sucks until reading break and then the dissections are very interesting But lab mark is needed to bring up course mark!

Not the best teacher ever but not horrible. Tends to talk about things that you don't even need to know. And yes...cannot pronouce the names of many things. The lab was okay but needs more structure. Really enjoyed the dissections.

One of the worst professors I've had in four years. Merely copied her lectures from the textbook onto powerpoint slides and then read off those in a stumbling, too quiet voice during class. Doesn't post full notes online and refuses to offer help outside of classes (whether this is because she can't or won't, I don't know). Completely useless.

This teacher is extremely boring. Her notes are chaotic, she tells too many stories about when her kids were young and just needs to retire with owning some pig farm or something.
