Lisa was one of the best professors I've had at UWL. She genuinely cares about all of her students and appreciates feedback in class. There is daily homework, but nothing ever too difficult. While there is a textbook, I never opened it once and I was fine. If you ever get the chance to take her class, do it!

Don't get me wrong, Lisa is a wonderful lady, but when it comes to teaching she is very hard to follow and I feel lost almost every class. She is very unorganized in her teaching style and often messes up simple math on the board. Exams are really tough but she lets you use cheat sheets.

Very hard to follow in class, often times left class feeling more confused than when we started. Makes many errors that add to the confusion. Some topics will be hardly touched in class and make up large portions of tests. Does not seem to be confident in the work she does on the board, often looking confused or unsure of herself.

LISA IS AMAZING! Take her. She is fun and easy as long as you pay attention. Her lectures are easy to pay attention to, and keep you engaged. She really cares about students and is good at connecting with them! You get a note card on the exams and she gives practice exams that prepare you well for the exams.

She's been my favorite teacher so far at UW-La Crosse! Her lectures are pretty simple and easy to follow. A lot of the class is spent reviewing concepts from the previous classes though so its a pretty slow pace. She doesn't expect you to read from the book at all really. Her tests are somewhat hard but her review sessions are a life/grade saver.

This professor really cares about her students. She always answered her emails quickly and was helpful in class. A few errors were made on the board but she corrected them in a matter of minutes and made sure everyone understood. Good reviews before exams also. I was not looking forward to taking this class, but it wasn't so bad with her.

I love Lisa. Very easygoing. She wants more for her students than to just memorize the material in order to pass the exam--she wants them to learn & grow & be able to actually apply the materials in the real world. If you have any questions whatsoever, she will find a way to help because she genuinely cares about all of her students. Great woman.

ALWAYS view the professor ratings before choosing a professor. If you are not "math-brained" you will not understand her nonsense. I agree with everyone on here, this semester she just completes problems incorrectly on the board and makes us figure them out. If STUDENTS ARE MORE ORGANIZED than a 40 something assistant prof, you're doing it wrong.

Probably the worst professor I've had at UWL. Her thoughts/lecture notes are scattered all over the place. Would spend half of class reviewing what she taught the last class and would use different information than the last time so you never knew what was correct or not. Made class more confusing than it had to be. Never graded anything timely.

I don't complain about professors but she made an exception. I don't understand how she has a job still. I wish I didn't attend class so much because she became a disruption to her own class by not teaching us anything and just committing error after error. And then she blames whatever goes wrong in the class on the students. Terrible.

Lisa is absolutely hilarious and keeps lectures exciting, she'll even warn you when certain lectures are going to be tedious. She's an extremely fair grader which is really nice because the tests aren't extremely easy but they're not terrible. Don't copy the board too quickly for she makes a lot of mistakes... Highly recommend!

I can honestly say that she is the worst professor I have had at UWL. She stands in front of the class and does incorrect problems on the board, can't figure it out, moves on, and expects you to understand it. She claims she "Had a bad semester last year." Unfortunately, she is on a roll. She should not be teaching. Best of Luck.

Where to start Expect to have to teach yourself outside of class, because she makes things more confusing in class due to errors and getting stuck in problems that she writes herself. Kids have literally walked out of class in frustration because she can't figure out how to do problems that she wrote. It is nearly impossible to learn.

She is always making mistakes on the board. Often confuses herself and talks in circles. Very hard to learn from lectures. Nice lady however, and she tries to make the class interesting.

She is a nice lady, but she is easily in the bottom 3 of all teachers I have had at UWL. Many simple math errors and very unclear with subject. I somehow managed to get an A in the class, but what I actually learned was very limited. Don't take her if you actually want to learn Econ.

Lisa is a great professor. Her way of thinking is refreshing. She makes a lot of simple math errors in class so don't copy the board too quickly. The course does not follow the book so you'll need to read. Gives lots of homework to help you remember the content and boost your grade. Two tests and a final that weren't too bad.

Good teacher. Very steady in teaching and you can tell she loves what she does. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you don't go you might not understand the concepts. She really does try her best to teach you, and if anyone is confused she tries different approaches. I would definitely recommend her. Very friendly and helpful.
