Comment:

Professor Couch is one of the best teachers at MCCC. She is very kind and encouraging, and is quick to answer emails and is available during her office hours. Not only did I have her as a teacher, I also had the opportunity to work for her in the Writing Center. Very organized and made the experience wonderful. Take her if you can. Great teacher!

Comment:

Good professor and was very clear and straight to the point of what she expects from her students. She also wants the students to be very involved in the class and participate. Her exams were very fair and if you read what is assigned to you will do will on the exams, plus she gives you an outline for each exam, so it is very clear what to expect.

Comment:

Professor Couch is by far one of the best English teachers I've had. She gives the class a very relaxed atmosphere and all the students were able to get pretty close with each other which made it that much more enjoyable. I loved going to this class and Professor Couch was always willing to help you or work with you if you needed it.

I honestly thought she would be tougher than people have told me but she is awesome! The assignments are clear and straight to the point! If you read the passages assigned and complete the work given, you will do great in the class!! Would definitely take another one of her classes!

Mrs. Couch is the best professor I have ever had. She is very clear on her expectations, and is always willing to help. She makes class enjoyable and it goes by really fast! I look up to her and would take any class she teaches. She is a true example of a good professor, and a good person.

I can honestly say, she is the worst teacher I have ever had. She is really hard and she wants you to have the perfect paper, and if you don't then be prepared for a low grade. She was very rude to me.

Couch seems like she's a great teacher, but her grading scale is by far one of the hardest I've seen. The papers she has her students write are very in-depth. They seem to get harder and harder as the semester continues. If you want an easy teacher, I wouldn't recommend her. If you need a teacher, who can push you to the limit, then she is the one.

VERY HARD TEACHER! She wants you to have a perfect paper and if you don't then you will have a lot of points marked off. She wants you to be there, on time everyday (but it's okay for her to be late), she doesn't want you to miss more then 2 days because then you will fail. Does not let you make up any quizzes or homework done in class.

I took her online course, and I have to say that above all she had the HARDEST test I have ever taken. I believe that she is a good teacher and you can learn alot, however I felt that her tests were a bit too hard. You hear of the teachers that want to know one line out of 10 pages, well this is her...scary had however if you work hard you do good!

This professor goes very in depth with knowing mla. A student in her comp II class will have to do a lot of research for the research paper. It was alright, only problems I had with her was the students were treated as if they were from middle school. Also, I had a death in the family and she wouldn't let me make up the quiz she gave.

Prof. Couch is a wonderful teacher who is very clear in her expectations. If a student does not want to work however, this would be a poor choice for a class. You only have to write 3 major papers, but a lot of "sub-assignments" go into those 3. So if you're ready to put in an effort, you will receive/earn an A.

You have to know all MLA format or you get a billion points taken off your grade. Your paper more on your errors than the actual paper itself. Don't take this class! Great lady and great teacher. She explains everything carefully and thoroughly. She'll help you with anything you need. You are expected to write about 5 essays for the semester, but they're not that bad at all.
