Comment:

Attendance is very important! This is the only class I didn't miss a single day of, I paid attention and took thorough notes, and still had to work hard for my B. Very little homework, clear instructions on assignments and good study guides. She is very smart and cares about her students. A little cooky-cat-lady but nice and knowledgeable.

I took this course online and I had to work very hard for my A, but it is possible. I emailed her questions throughout the class and she was always prompt in responding and always helpful. The tests were tough, but overall she's a great professor who wants her students to excel if they are willing to go the extra mile. Do the extra credit!

I will never take her again. It isn't that she asked for "too much" But she expected everything out of you. I was having family issues and she blew me off and wasn't lenient what so ever (not that I expected it, but she was very rude) Take someone else. Wait a semester or two. Avoid her!

Took her for Introduction to Personality course. Not super easy but the written work was all analyzing personalities of cases. Very interesting because you got to put your interpretation. Met with us online to answer questions and make sure we understood everything. No stupid discussion boards. Would take a course with her agin.

Words can't describe how much I struggled with this class. If you ever have to take a psych class, please do yourself a favor and DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT take her class. She relies heavily on the book and gives 50 point quizzes online that are impossible to take! She means well, but her class is just impossible! Save ur GPA, dont take this class!

This class requires a LOT of work. I am grateful that I got to learn and actually encode all the information into my long-term memory (I learned that from this class) because it was so much work. But if you are looking for an "easy A" This is not the class to take.

Save yourself some trouble & avoid this teacher. I'm a straight A student, always have been & have never had trouble in any classes, until this one. She spends 3/4 of class time talking about herself and irrelevant matters instead of teaching. Doesn't return emails. Expects her class to be the center of your life. Not worth the frustration!

She is a very tough instructor, but if you work hard, you will do fine. She's very helpful. She doesn't babysit, just do you work and you will do fine. I enjoyed her class and learned a lot! I would take her again.

Unless you have a great understanding of PSY, I recommend you STAY AWAY FROM THIS TEACHER!! She expects you to have a comprehension of this subject FAR above what an average student has and her "teaching" of this subject is no help. She is very hard to please in the assignments and hits hard on the grading. Her tests are impossible!! AVOID

She was awful! When I emailed her she would beat around the bush and never answer my full question. Her test questions aren't even out of the text book! You read and try to learn all of that information and it's not even on the test! She's absolutley awful and I would never recommend anyone to take her class.

Horrible. Not recommended. I learned absolutely nothing in this class. I actually gave her class my all. I was so confident I got at least a B on a very detailed assignment and I got 9/25. Horrible. Her method of teaching makes this class impossible to pass with an A or B. If your great student I'm sure you'll barely pass with a C.

Excellent, excellent teacher! Gives lots of examples--not just definitions. You really need to study but she gives tons of bonus points. Raised my grade almost two letter points with the questions of the day.

Terrible, terrible teacher! She does not clarify things at all! She tests you on 6-7 chapters at a time and it's definitely not easy! She's so confusing and when you ask her questions, she makes them even MORE complicated! AVOID THIS PROFESSOR.

Challenging--not for the lazy, but I learned so much! Deciding whether to major in psych and now I probably will. She wrote detailed comments on the assignments she graded and actualy met us online to review for quizzes. Answered E-mail fast. Tough, smart lady.

Took online. WOW! I was a straight "A" student! I studied so much for the test, knew the material inside and out and still failed them. I did really well on the many written assignments, hence my "C" average. I have even complained to staff at Owens and I am not the only one that has complained, not sure why she is still teaching! Take with caution

LOOK! these people saying how great she is must not have lives. This woman acts as if her class is all you have going on in your life. I took gerontology online and literally spent more time, seriously, more time on her class than my other three classes combined. enough said!!!! she's ridiculous.
