Inspirational, compelling, feeds off of students' enthusiasm. Trenscends the boundaries of English and delves into a multitude of subjects and teaching life-lessons along the way. He even threw our class a barbeque at his house! TAKE HIM

Absolutely Hilarious. Some days we laughed so hard at something said that my stomach hurt afterwards. Classes can be kind of boring but it's worth it to go because he says the odd funny remark and HE NOTICES if you show up. Even if he doesn't take attendance. Work consists of 5 or 6 papers. various lengths between 2 & 5 pages depending on the paper

Worse class I have ever taken in my 4 years at UD. Even though this professor IS easy (which is a plus i guess), the class is useless and a waste of money. All he does is read to you every class and makes no sense. Marre should have retired 20 years ago!

Marre was amazing. He doesn't take attendance but HE NOTICES, so show up. Trust me, I went to every class, never paid attention, and got A's on ALL my papers. My friends skipped, never paid attentions, and got B's. Easy A, folks...think about it...

I did not like this teacher. He did not make any sense when explaining assignments. However, attendance is not mandatory and I probably went to a total of 4 classes and got an A. His policy is that you can turn in any paper at any time in the semester for full credit and you can re-write all your papers.easy class to get an A, but really boring.

This guy is absolutely halarious. His class is a breeze, you don't have to show up only turn in papers. Papers can be turned in anytime for full credit, even after the due date (he only gives due dates as a general guideline to help you plan your semester.) Take him for an easy A.

I took him for Shakespeare. SO EASY, hilarious. Got 100's on my papers....and he tells stories about Shakespeare to make the time come alive...you can skip class and it's fine. Perfect for anyone who needs an easy class and freedom from stress!!!

Marre's class is a joke. No one ever comes and he could care less. He didn't assign our first paper until there was 5 weeks left in the semester. I never read and would do other work in class, if I went. He's really easy, but very rude when you e-mail him with questions. Overall, I would recommend him.

The best advice he gave our class was to buy our Shakespeare books used and leave them out on our coffee tables during parties through college. That way, when we were older, we would have a well-worn Shakespeare book for our coffee table which would make all our friends think we're very smart. I never liked Shakespeare until I took Dr. Marre's class. He's twisted, but he rocks!
