I'd have to agree that he's confrontational, but I'd question his fairness. I could imagine him maybe having been a good professor in the past, but he spends entire semesters emphasizing the importance of good design without actually teaching anything about design, aside from a formulaic "Requirements, Technical functions, Flowchart" approach.

A good down to earth professor, but makes the class very hard than it really is! He is very helpful and is willing to sacrifice talking to his wife for you :) be prepared to work very hard for a "C" if his in a good mood.

He has so much to offer and so much potential to be a good teacher. While making a class hard does force a student to learn, it is not the most effective way to teach. My experience was that he liked to stir up the pot, pull the rug out from under unneccesarily. Frustrating. Could have been fun!

He is tough, but his goal is to make you think. He also tries to make it seem like you are working for a company. If you undersatand what he is trying to make you do he is very good.
