Lots of reading (because it was a literature class) but the grades were fair and she is an EXCELLENT lecturer. One of my favorite classes ever. Really interesting if you enjoy reading and history. Shes very knowledgeable about the material. Reading is important, I didnt read as much as I shouldve but I couldve easily gotten a high A had i read

Dr. Bollinger makes this course WAY more difficult than the other 207 professors. This course is focused HEAVILY on lengthy (1+ hours worth) lecture videos and readings (often lengthy as well). I understand the course shouldn't be easy, but when compared to other online classes, this course takes the cake for difficulty. Be aware of this.

I don't care for her as a person or whatsoever. I think there are other ways to teach students instead of this hard ways she goes through. Skip class, you won't pass. Get ready to READ!!!. I HAVE never made a B or had problem with each Eng class until I took her smh. She's some worth full of herself. Its sad Cuz seem things she make you do smh.

I'm currently in the middle of taking this class. Listen to me very carefully; her reading responses.. The rubric says you need 250 words to get excellent grading- YOU NEED TO DO 400+ WORDS TO GET A GOOD GRADE. It says it in tiny writing towards the bottom of the rubric that she is really looking for 400+.

Hell from above. This is the toughest class I have ever found myself in for undergrad. It's just an English lit class. Everything is difficult, she can't be pleased. Midterm was harder than ever, she make you do irrelevant work. Other Eng teachers isn't putting their students through what she puts her students through. STAY AWAY for your own GPA.

She makes Honors Literature a discussion based class, which would be really cool if she didn't make you partner up and periodically write one-page reports on your partner's in-class participation. If you disagree with her in class, she'll shut you down hard and pull the "I went to Princeton" card, which tends to shut down any worthwhile discussion.

She was very clear, and it was a fun class, but not the fun, easy class I expected - this was the most difficult class I took all semester, and it was a sophomore level class. She keeps you moving with the workload, but stay on top of everything and you'll do fine.

If you value your job, or free time, don't take her. There are some pretty cool things to learn in this course, but she quickly overwhelms you with assignment after assignment making the material less engaging. But hey, if you're a Mythology major, you won't find a better course.

This class was one of the most difficult classes I've taken. I would place this at the 400 level, not 200. You can do every single requirement for an assignment and still make a C, so if you're worried about your GPA, do not take this class. Prepare to spend hours on homework and reading. (It may be easier when it's not an online class)

I'm so glad I took Bollinger for Lit. Lit is a hard class, but if you put forth the effort, she will take notice. Come to class and take notes. Follow the instructions on her assignments, and go to her office if you need help.

worst literature teacher i've ever had. Met with her in her office multiple times throughout the semester and still barely made a B. If your opinion isn't exactly like hers, you're wrong. Treats you like a grad student even when literature is just a requirement for your major. if you have a choice, do NOT take her

Going into the class, I was excited. I love lecture classes, and I love the chance to discuss literature. Bollinger is the expert, and as well-read as she is, I feel that this hinders class-time. If she doesn't agree with your point, she gets on the defensive. Even if you can argue a point with contextual evidence, she'll dismiss your ideas.

Doctor Bollinger is one of my favorite professors! Make sure to read before class and go to her office hours. She is great about looking over essays for you before and after you turn them in. I learned a lot in her class!! Highly recommend.

Great teacher! Really knew her material. I feel like I learned a lot from her. I will say for this class that there is a LOT of reading (an entire book a week), but if you like science fiction then you will enjoy this class.

She is a great teacher but she expects you to do the reading thoroughly. You must give very detailed feedback about the reading you did or your grade will be affected. Also she counts attendance and even if you miss for a doctor appointment or other important matter she takes off. Easy to get an A if you do the reading and show up.

Dr. Bollinger let each student determine how they would be graded, which was an interesting feature. I liked not being stuck with assignments I didn't feel would benefit me, and her feedback at every step of the process has been amazing. Her faith in my final project has kept me interested in it even after the term ended, which I appreciate.

I took Dr. Bollinger's EH 207 last semester and enjoyed her lectures, her energy, and her level of shared information so much that I rearranged my schedule this semester in order to take her for EH 208. She is very helpful and is very willing to offer any help to all of her students. Attendance is not mandatory, but helpful for class discussions.

I managed to get an A in the class, but it was only by working very hard. Most of the other students in the class with me found her instructions for each assignment vague and hard to understand. My roommate took the same course from a different professor and ended up doing roughly half the amount of work that I did. My advise? Try a someone else.
