Easy class, never went got an A-. two 5 page and one 8 page Resume. Class is only based upon these. Will let you correct your papers over and over again, does not give out grades until final portfolio. Tends to be late or not show up for conferences but still a nice lady. Take her for 302 if u dont want any reading or tests ,just papers.

VERY fair - she prepares everyone for the writing guidelines for their major. She's like a walking APA guideline book - it's great. And very helpful, she will discuss anything with you to make sure you understand the class assignments. 3 papers and a resume - portfolio at the end of the semester

To the person who has a problem rewriting papers. In every eng class you will have to rewrite papers until you get them right. Learn how to write. Guss is the best Eng teacher there is. The problem is you,not her. Go to the writing center for help!!!!

She is definitely the easiest teacher I've had in college and she's so amusing. If you want a teacher that gives the minimum amount of work possible then take her. She's so understanding, drops tests if majority of the class did poorly, & is intelligent!!

OMG!! You have to get Guss. Guss makes learning fun, she is interesting, enthusiastic, funny, helpful, understanding,and is very well organized, and her tests are very fair. GREATEST TEACHER I EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! YOU HAVE TO TAKE HER!! TRUST ME
