He is by far one of the worst profs in the entire york Itec department. Who wants students to fail their classes ? I dont get him hes super duper hard with weird policies of MC which are worth 2.5 marks each and a wrong answer cancels s right one . What if you wanna guess and try but nope u cant . Extremely booring and no breaks and very hard!!

I did the course last year. His lectures are 3 hour straight boring slogs with NO BREAKS. Found it nearly impossible to learn anything in class and taught myself everything. Textbook might help. Final had MC worth 2.5 each and if you get one wrong it cancels one right which is complete nonsense. Avoid him if possible.

Probably a horrible professor he had the weirdest rules on his exams for multiple choices you cannot guess them if u guess and get a MC wrong you loose one of the right answers. This is a horrible policy expecially MCs are worth 2.5 each. Plus he is horrible at teaching. And marks super hard .

Would not recommend this prof especially for first year students for the sole reason that ITEC 1000 teaches a lot of the groundwork for the rest of the ITEC courses. He isn't the most difficult prof, but the grading criteria for assignments and tests are unclear.

I found the lectures boring and long (no breaks). The professor gives real-life examples to add context to the slide content. Hes not that hard... dont just memorize the material, actually learn it (read text and slides). Like others have mentioned, he will be clever with the wording on his exams.. (be aware).

Get Past midterms, 70% similar content from previous midterms. Lectures are long and boring, theres no break so get ready to pay attention. The course wasn't hard just a lot of information to absorb. Professor is nice and helpful, doesn't mind repeating and explaining things in class. Test are mid level tough but marks fair. Do the assignments!!

He is one of the best profs and a GREAT resource to learn from about so many things in IT. The prof is always clear and precise in explaining things. Take notes when he is explaining because he says "This might be a good question for exam" and those comes in exam. Trust me !! Plus he shares a lot of real life example which is very useful to know.

Professor unable to articulate ideas and concepts. Simply study prior exams as professor is careful not to deviate from his list of 8-10 questions that he rotates. At the end, you'll end up with a great grade,not much substance that you can take into the real world. Shameful of York to subject students to this style of teaching at any level.

Avoid if you can. There is not a single slide without some sort of an error. Both his speaking language and written language is incomprehensible. I don't know what's wrong with YorkU's IT department; but their professor are amazingly poor in terms of teaching quality and knowledge.

Luiz Marcio is probably one of THEE best professors at YrokU. He loves his students, he loves life, and is very passionate about his work. Exams are challenging but you learn a lot! Very welcoming and extremely helpful! He's FAN-tastic!

Prof is extremely lazy. Asks only 5 or 6 questions on exams, which means if you don't know the answer to 2 or 3 questions you can fail the exam. Terrible format for an exam. Website is full of mistakes, doesn't really explain the concepts, and often skips slides. Would not recommend this Prof.

I wont take any classes with him ever...we had the past papers and they didnt help, so don't think that you will get an A if you just study them...he can't teach, you have to learn how to draw the diagrams urselves..and he is a very bad marking guy...the course itself is not that hard
