Horrible teacher! Lectured for the first 2/3 classes. Showed like a hundred slides and didn't clearly explain them. After the 1st few classes she showed movies nonstop instead of teaching. The tests were ridiculous and she refused to tell us our grades. She is outrageously bad. Save your GPA and avoid her!

Please do yourself a favor and find another professor. Does not teach material at all whatsoever. Rather, for the first 8 classes, we were taught how to read the Geology Reference Tables and Charts. Easy F, if you'd like to call it.

Worst teacher ever DO NOT TAKE HER. she does not teach all she do is show videos and expect u to memorize on the other had she really old so its easy to cheat on test I did not study or went to class and passed with a c- didn't even read the book. takes attendance at the en so u can walk in 20 mins b4 class ends

This professor is way too old to teach at this point , she keeps on going over the same material and half of the semester we spoke about what is going to be on the midterm instead of actually learning. Her tests are nothing what you read in the book so I would say don't even bother. If you take her , good luck !!!!

What the other person wrote is true. However, it's an easy class to pass. She curbs grades generously. Midterm questions were vague, but if you watch the doc. films which is mandatory, and take notes during lecture, the rest is based on common sense. Don't be too afraid to take her. You wont fail as long as you don't disrespect her. Needs an assist

Although she is a very nice elderly lady I do not think she is doing a right thing by continuing 2 teach. First of all she never attempted 2 teach or lecture us. its a "You must teach yourself" kind of classroom. she spend half the class trying to work the projector & i mean EVERY CLASS & she never gave bak the midterm either. just a few warnings.

Horrible prof. Her tests are just impossible to study for. She is so boring. There are tons of mistakes in her tests and some of her questions arent fair questions and you cant argue them at all. She should have retired 20 years ago. She knows her stuff but cant teach it effectively.

She's not as bad as everyone says for the lab. I actually find her to be quite amusing. I liked coming to lab class because she is funny without trying to be. The midterm and final aren't as hard IF you actually read and have the textbook. She gives you extra credit for attending geology lectures.

one of the more useless teachers i've ever met. always crabby. really used to dread every day that i had her class. She did curve, but made 4 months of school awful for me and many of my classmates. just doesnt have a nice demeanor and can bore you to death with her tyrades on tunafish, tal****powder and muscovite.. avoid if possible.

Since when is showing slides in the dark and talking to the board teaching?? Wearing sunglasses above the mouth so your voice doesn't travel? I know the back of this womans wig like I know myself. This class was not interactive and being in the dark makes u sleepy! Her little jokes were corny i was glad when the semester was OVER!

What a waste of time and energy. Savage teaches in the darkness with outdated overhead slides. The lecture, the lab, the test and the book do not correlate AT ALL!!! Her tests are horrible, sometimes she can even understand her own questions, Ah. Thanks to my prior knowledge of Earth Science and Science in general I made it. Don't take her.

This professor is such a nice woman. She enjoys talking to her students and all she asks from them is to come to class, shut up, and learn something. There's the midterm and final-ALL MULTIPLE CHOICE- and lab is the same way. Not a hard class and professor is a sweetheart so long as you show her that you really want to do well! I did-I got an A+!!

Dr. Savage is a really nice woman. If you take the time to talk to her, you will see that she really cares about her students. The class was interesting-just looked at slides and lab was always amusing bc she likes to crack jokes. This is not a difficult class at all and it can be fun if you put in the effort. Great lady!

AWFUL. She made no sense and used class time to rant about her own outlandish speculations. An awful instance I remember was when she told the class to study the text- then when we used that information on a test she told us it was wrong and SHE was right despite the fact that we showed her where the info came from. I think she may be senile.

She is not the greatest professor. But all you have to worry about is passing the midterms and finals. Don't listen to her lectures or her rewiew sheets. Just read the textbook and try to understand. The movies aren't necessary either. But she's a fair grader, she cruves, so you can pass.
