Go to class, the quizzes are freebies!! She's such a passionate prof and she loves what she teaches. The exams are fair but you have to read the papers and know the experimental techniques.

One of the easiest professors I've encountered. Her lectures help clear any questions you may have but heavily based on textbook. Read the text and study by it, and you'll ace the exams. As simple as that.

Lynne is a fabulous prof who has a deep interest in her subject of teaching. ASK QUESTIONS when you are confused and you'll get them answered efficiently and without attitude. She is nice to students and cares how we do. The textbook was essential - EVERY ANSWER was in the textbook. So read ahead and ask questions and you'll do JUUUUST fine.

Great prof. Extremely nice and very clear. Sure her notes are mostly diagrams but that's why you're supposed to read the textbook. Material was interesting. Way better course than MBB 222. Only qualm with Quarmby is that my final mark was 85.5/100 and I ended up with only a B+. How does that happen?

Lynne is definately one of the nicest profs. Her course material is boring and she tries to make it as interesting as possible. Her exams are fair, my only criticism is that her notes are full of diagrams and they sometimes lack the explanation of the diagrams.

For those students who complain about Lynne, allow me to welcome you to FOURTH YEAR UNIVERSITY! In the real world, you don't get powerpoint presentations sent to you 2 weeks beforehand! Lecturers frequently go fast; there's a lot of info to share. Lynne has a genuine concern for her students, and a love for the subject matter. Appreciate THAT!

One of the most influential profs I have ever had. She truly cares about students and has a passion for what she teaches. She is challenging, but you will come out of her courses with a respect for the bigger picture in biology.

She deducted EXTRA marks if we answered a question wrong on the final. That's right, you can get a NEGATIVE mark on the final!!! If you value your GPA, avoid this course!!!

She goes way too fast during lectures...esp. since she uses powerpoint and doesn't make her notes available to her students. There was no textbook for the course either.

403 is an advanced class so material that is review goes very quickly, new info is slowly and clearly explained. She is VERY helpful in office hours. Don't take this course if you are slow. If you are intrested though you will LOVE it.

This just goes to show why it should be manditory for professors to take at least six credits of education courses. I believe she has a lot to improve on if she truly wants to teach undergrads.
