Very disappointing class. Hybrid structure consisted of fruitless in class discussion, online journaling, and listening to prof literally narrate powerpoint slides online. End of semester was better when prof switched to lecture-based classes. Very smart, knowledgeable prof; didn't begin communicating knowledge until the semester was almost over.

I took his online class and it was fairly easy. There is just a ton of work (2 tests and 2 writing assignments a week). I never had to deal with him and everything was graded in a fairly good manor.

He grades you based on what he thinks you deserve so go to class. If he likes you you will do well in the class, He goes off on random tangents a lot and doesn't stick to the subject matter all that much. I learned a little but not all that much. I'd recommend him over any other writing course. Don't buy the books, we didn't use them at all.

Blended course, so only had class once a week (lectures were all online). Lectures were the most helpful, and class time was a joke. Obvious liberal bias, and has no qualms letting everyone know about it. Good guy, but pretty weird professor.

I took the internet course and was able to complete the entire course in two weeks. Quizzes were very easy to get full credit. No tests. He also checked in if there seemed to be a problem which is impressive for an online course. I would definitely recommend this professor.

I know that a lot of people like his class... but I HATED it. He wanted us to write like second graders. He told me he would take points off my paper for using the word "plethora." He wanted me to use "many" instead. Really?!

He is really nice and knows his stuff. I took this as an online summer course and the work was simple and rather easy. The tests were kind of difficult just because there was so much to learn. My only complaint I think would be that I couldn't ever get him to email me back. But he is funny and interesting to listen to.

This class was scheduled for three days a week, but we only met on 2. There was a weekly online discussion assignment that really helps your grade as long as you do it daily. The class was interesting and he really knows what he's talking about! I liked this class. As long as you keep up with the discussion, you'll do great!

I had him for history 210 and you should definately take him. He is easy and you get weeks to do the easist assignments. he is funny and usually gets off track. you dont even have to go all the time and he cancels class if a paper is due or the yankees are playing an important game.

Take this class for Writing II if you can help it. He is hilarious and goes off on lots of tangents and tells good stories. The assignments are taken slow and are pretty easy. You get other people in your class to edit the paper and he does as well before you submit it. Loved the class!

I took his internet class and I do not reccommend it. The quizzes were ridiculous, even though I did all the reading and they were open note, the questions were so obscure they were impossible to find in the book. Also, he grades essays really hard- even if you do everything he asks, don't expect a good grade.

I took his class on the internet. It was the first time he gave an internet class and it showed. He was not familiar with blackboard, things were confusing, but he seemed to want to help. Also, I have no idea how he grades essay questions or discussions

Cooper is so nerdy it's hilarious. He'll make jokes about ancient kings that no one gets but him and wait for you to laugh... and then you laugh at the fact he thinks his joke was funny! His upper division classes are tough though, and if you don't read the book you don't stand a chance. However if you struggle he'll work with ways to help you.

Intellingent and funny instructor. His class is somewhat of a breeze as long as one is willing to read, show up to class and LISTEN, and take an occassional note or two. Grade is based on mini quizzes each week with no cummulative testing at all. Two days a week and one day discussion group if MWF. Interesting material taught with interesting spin

Nice guy, easy class. Don't buy the book, just read the online study guides and you will do fine on the small weekly quiz. No exams so is a different set up. But I did fine with little study time.
