Marcus is extremely intelligent, but socially inept. He does not explain anything in class, just reads over his notes (which happen to be exactly the same as in the book and are SO hard to read). He is arrogant, and is not committed to ensuring quality in the education received by his students.

Marcus is pretty nice guy, and willing to explain if you ask questions. But it is very difficult to get good grades in his class. There is also a lot of work to do. If you like proving stuff and don't like applied math, then you may like him a lot (I like him a fair bit, but he's just really hard and I don't want to take any more class with him)
