the best professor period... she is super intelligent and is like your best friend. The workload is not too difficult, she is not like all the professors at hofstra who want you to fail right before graduation. Other professors do not help with anything. She is kind, understanding and awesomely cool. Definitely take her course!

Not only is she a great Japanese techer but she is also really fun and lively. My small class was always in smiles from how well we all did and how awesome she was. The work wasn't hard if you were willing to do the work. DO THE LISTENING HOURS EACH WEEK!

Of all the Japanese Proffs at Hofstra, she is by far the best. I've had her before for Japanese 002 and now for 005. She's great and so sweet; if you ask for help she's more than happy to assist you. Take her if you can, you won't regret it.

Ever have those professors who take a subject you wouldn't give a crap about and makes it interesting/relevant? Thats Fujimoto. It's awesome how her personality shines thru her funny accent. And has great positive energy, is funny, engaging, easygoing with herself and students, and CARES about teaching. Great teacher + Great Human Being = 5 Stars!

Absolutely my favorite professor ever. I took her for JPAN 001 and JPAN 002, and both classes were amazing. She is funny, nice, approachable, and always willing to answer questions (although if you continue to ask too many she may ask you to hold on). I would recommend her to ANYONE taking Japanese. No questions asked.

Great teacher, fun to talk to, very helpful and gets through the material she needs, most things you need to know for that week of class is taught at the beginning of the week and clarifies and makes you practice in class by speaking for the rest of the week until quiz. Almost never a dull moment and if there is it's very very short.

So good that by the last month of class we just wound up repeating everything over and over again. Was boring, but damn she was great at teaching Linguistics. She is hysterical and has a wonderful sarcastic wit about her jokes. She plays the dumb card but just for laughs and is otherwise brilliant.

I couldn't fit japanese into my schedule this semester and I regret it- I miss Fujimoto-sensei. She is the most engaging, helpful and HUMAN professor here at hofstra. Whoever said she is unprofessional was either lazy or stupid. She does more to ensure you learn than any other teacher I've met. Add to that funny and creative and you have the BEST.

Of my 4 professors this semester, Fujimoto-sensei has got to be the most engaging, nurturing (a prereq. for teaching a foreign langauge), and entertaining! I have always wanted to know Japanese, but she makes the process of learning it interesting and fun! I'm amused to read that someone didn't like Fujimoto-sensei because she was "unprofessional."

Shes pretty laid back & will talk to you like a friend instead of a teacher Her teaching style is good & you learn a lot. To learn with her is much easier than with some of the other teacher

Best professor I have had at Hofstra - teaches a great class, one I actually look forward to. Very interactive with the students, and wants students to do well. Take Japanese 1 with Fujimoto, you won't regret it.
