I don' t know how to say it any differently from the other people who have commented. SWITCH. If you want, go to his class for A SINGLE DAY, and then you will understand what everyone is saying. He will mess up on a problem in front of the class, spend 20 minutes trying to figure it out, and then say, do this one at home. Nice guy but, tenure.

This professor is the WORST teacher I have ever had, over all subjects, but especially math. He babbles nonsense and is very unclear about what he is teaching. He often makes mistakes and has no idea how to fix them or find the right answer. Get out of this class ASAP. He isn't worth your effort.

WORST PROFESSOR I'VE EVER HAD.This class was recommended by my advisor for people who hate math. HE IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE. Every day it's as if he's seeing the material for the first time. SWITCH OUT.. He has ratings back to 03 saying how bad he is. We once spent an entire class (1h30) going over a problem he didn't get that should have taken 5 min.

Terrible. I feel bad for the guy. Maybe it's cause he's older I don't know but the guy loses track of what he's saying. makes the easiest stuff sound confusing because he just rambles on and on. The only way you'll pass the class is if you teach yourself. use text book on your own or fail cause you're not learning anything from him

If you have never taken calc. before its useless to even try learning from Ramras. He teaches nothing and is unprepared for every class. Its hard to learn when the prof. makes more mistakes when the students! Don't go to class and youll be good to go!

Terrible teacher. Took him for graduate optimization class. Normally, I give profs benefit of the doubt, since it's a tough job, but he's awful. Each lecture was as if he was reading his notes for the first time ever. Entire grade was based on one homework problem, despite what the syllabus stated. Don't bother.

If you can't self-teach yourself material switch classes. With the book and review quizzes which are almost the same as the normal quiz this class is easy. Sleep in class if you dont want to get confused.

The class itself is easy, but the guy is so unclear that's hard to pay attention, not that you would learn much if you did. Just find someone who knows what they're doing to help you and it'll be an easy class. He seems willing to give extra help, although I'm not sure if that would help either.

Thank God I had already taken Calculus once before, otherwise I would have done horribly. You have to be good at teaching yourself, or find a really good tutor, because he is not good at teaching at all. All he does is go over homework, and doesn't even do a very good job at that! Work is easy as long as you understand the subject.

Worst teacher ever. I read these ratings before I had him and thought I could deal with him. I was wrong, I had recieved an A in every calculus course until I had Ramras. I have to retake this class in the summer because he is so bad. Even if you get every single answer on a test correct you can still end up with an F, just switch out.

Worst professor ever. He clearly sets the bar on being a bad professor. He doesn't teach very well nor does he show any inclination that he tries to. Even worse is that he makes it more than clear that he doesn't care for his students or the quality of his work.
